Need an education on HK Trigger Packs
I got a post sample registered HK Trigger Pack and want to be able to run it in .308/.233/9mm. It came as a 9mm pack. What all do I need to replace in it to run .223/.308? Anything I need to know before putting this in my SBR MP5 clone and letting it rip?
Ejector and hammer spring in the pack need to be changed to the appropriate caliber, and you have to have a full auto bolt carrier in your gun.
He nailed it!
You should also be able to run 9mm with a rifle caliber hammer spring unless you are using really weak ammo. Makes it a bit easier with just swapping out ejector levers.
SEF or Ambi pack?
There are other things required depending on the type of pack should you place it in a 21, 23 or 40 cal MP5.

Yeah I forgot to mention those. Mp5 40 cal requires a different trip lever although once changed it can work with all other calibers if I remember correctly. 21and 23 (correct me if I am wrong) require some clearance ground in the front of the pack under the ejector lever?

SEF
I'm getting ready to order a full auto carrier and the appropriate ejector levers and springs from hkparts.net. Hopefully I'll have it up and running in my MP5 clone next week.

My .40 works fine with a standard trip (my sear goes between my 21, MP5 9mm, MP5 .40, G3, 93, 53. I just switch the ejector. Hammer spring is the same for all (at least for my setup).
The 40 cal guns use a bobbed trip lever as do the belt guns. It's the standard lever just that the tip or nose is ground away.
The SEF packs needs to have their front section slotted or notched, like the ambi style packs, in order to function in the beltfeds.
Went out and shot the gun today, ran like a champ! I need to get a few other hosts.
