I saw it for a few minutes. Looked nice; I know nothing about them. 2500$ plus tax.

Great deal or not? I see them go for 3k plus around here sometimes...

That's on the high side, not a great deal unless it comes with parts or accessories.

True HK91s go from 1800 to 2200 on average and depending on condition.

Hensoldt scope?

Namibian furniture?

What other accessories?

If just the rifle, it's too high.

It's funny, where I'm from I have seen them being privately sold for over 3 grand. Actually they all go for over 3 grand, that's why I was wondering if 2500 is a good price. I had a friend at a gun store check the "book value" and he said around 1600...and the store selling this particular rifle said there is "no way" they can budge off 2500. Looks like I'll pass

I believe that an important factor is being overlooked here. Don't you guys have a permanent AWB in the state of NY? I would think that accounts for the difference in market price/value between NY residents and the rest of us.

Yes we do. However since the rifles stopped coming into this country in '89, they are all "pre ban" in our state.

Even if it was new in box that is very high assuming it's just the rifle. If they are selling for $3000 around you it's because people aren't using the internet to buy or at least comparision shop. You'll have no problem finding one in excellant condition for $2000-$2200 max.Be a little patient and you can get one for $1800 in excellant/very good condition.

Prices spiked on 91s maybe two yrs ago at 2500. But then they dropped. I saw them sell at shows here in Phoenix at all different prices

Some around 1600 and a pair of mint guns sold by an apparently clueless individual for 900 apiece. Lately they seem to have climbed back over 2k. But that is the mkt for guns, sometimes they are everywhere cheap and then they are scarce and expensive

Did you look at the receiver? If it's a SR-9 it's worth it, especially if it is a -T or -TC. If it's a 91 it's too high.
