After much research I have decided I am going to purchase an MP5 parts kit. And get close to the real thing as possible. I know making the receiver from a flat is out of the question for me. But once I have it done. Is assembling this thing something a DIY could do or am i better off find a reputable person? Also if you yous could recommend some that would be great.

why build instead of buying? I was going to send my unfired 94 a3 to a dealer to sell

I have a MP5SD from RDTS and a MP5/40 from Jeff Walters (Parabellum Combat Systems). Both are excellent quality. Jeff has a quicker turn around time . You can't go wrong with either of them. Herd only good things about Joe (Dakota Tactical)

I prefer as close to an MP5 as possible. for a few hundred $$ i rather have a 90% h and k parts than a clone.

I can not comment on the build quality of any of the current builders but, to build it ourself you will need a shop press, i believe multi ton capable, to press fit the barrel. I would either buy one or get the parts and have it built.
I have a original HK94 that I like but, I also have a SP89 clone from Bobcat Weapons(now Red Rock Arms) that I like as well.

I had a 94 built by Jeff Walters and a mp10 built by turner fab and both are excellent guns.

Another vote for Jeff Walters (Ghilliebear on HKpro). He built my MP5-N and a 33K that look great and have functioned flawlessly with my sear pack.
