Maine-Tactical.com Issues
I ordered a stripped lower at Maine-Tactical.com & emailed them immediately on Wednesday morning to make sure the item was in stock & what they needed to insure fast shipping. They never responded to my email. I called them at the number on their website at least 15 times, no one ever answered the phone. I emailed them again and still with no reply. I called them again today & went straight to voice mail & it says his voice mail is full so you can't even leave a message. This is extreme piss poor communication and service. What business that cares about its customers doesn't answer the phone ever?
You're safe when ordering from any of the site sponsers. But for an item that would require being sent to an FFL, i would have emailed or called before placing my order. I prefer phone orders when items must transfer.
By the way, never heard of them till now.
Ya, that's good advice, I'll definitely be calling for these sort of things in the future.
Yea dude - piss poor customer you are when you order something from their website expecting rushed service BEFORE you even bother to try and get ahold of them.
Next time call FIRST, bitch second.
I was also having trouble with this retailer , so I feel your pain man. They were the only site at the time with zombie lowers in stock. So I e-mailed them... TWICE with no response. Also called a couple of times on different days and no answer. I think there was another thread about this very same thing. So I just waited it out and luckily, less than a month later I picked up a complete lower from a local shop. Hopefully all goes well. Another thing, it doesn't hurt to read Internet reviews about sites on google. I leaned that the hard way!

Piss poor customer because I ordered online? I'm pretty sure never answering your phone or responding to customer emails is the business's bad not the customers buddy.
I finally got through to them a few minutes ago after multiple calls. Supposedly they got thousands of dollars worth of product in and are swamped. Glad I got hold of them finally but still no excuse for the service. I will update when I get the item.

a lot of places are like this at the moment. consider that guns and parts are flying off the shelfs, do you really think that someone is just sitting there waiting for the phone to ring? I get the same from PSA, they are busy!! same from ARP, they are busy! get over it! deal with it!

I wouldn't be making a thread about this if I just called once & expected someone to answer, but when you call multiple times throughout a couple day time period with no answer then that's a problem. You can't obviously see that?

What the poster above you is trying to say is that everyone is REALLY busy right now, even reputable vendors, so they may not be able to get to your problems at the exact moment that you need them to. Maybe they only have a few employees and hundreds of orders to fill. Would you want them to answer 400 phone calls a day and then it takes them a month to get to your order because they answer the phone all day instead of shipping orders?
I do agree with you that a company should at least return emails so you know you aren't being scammed and I also don't like to call and have no one answer the phone all day either, but you don't know their exact situation.
Do you think it's fair to them that you created an account on a very large gun forum for the sole purpose of trashing a company that you placed an order with two days ago and can't get through on the phone at your convenience? What you are doing here is highly unfair to them. It's not like you ordered it a month ago.

I was making an account in general because I'm putting together a rifle, not for the sole purpose of trashing anyone. It's been pointed out that they have had the same issue with another member and after searching the forum a month ago the same thing was happening to someone else, bad communication. Do you see Spikes ignoring calls & emails? They are the most backed up right now & they still have great customer service. I believe people should know how a company's communication and service is before they buy from them. I'm only telling the facts, not slandering. Making me out to be a bad customer because I was worried after 20 failed attempts to contact them over a 2 day period is ridiculous statement and that I shouldn't tell people about my experience because it might hurt their reputation? I'm not the one hurting their reputation, they are.

I did say I agree with you that their communication was poor. I don't think it's fair to compare them to spike's either because you have no idea how many employees they have or what their business situation is. Spike's has people dedicated to customer service and maybe this place doesn't. I also never said that you shouldn't tell people about a companies customer service, but two days going by doesn't mean much now a days considering the nature of the gun industry these days, particularly when it comes to AR parts.
What's right and what's wrong here, I don't know but I'll tell you it sure does look like you created an account just to "tell us about your experience".
Looking at it at face value without being in someone's shoes then you would say oh just 2 days that's nothing, this guy is just a whiny bitch. But when you email right after you order and have no response for 2 days then wait on the phone 20 times just to here it ring and ring and ring and then go to message machine, it is extremely disheartening and you wonder what the hell is going on?? Did I get scammed?? I've never had this experience with any other business. If you have a webbed based business then there should be someone hired for customer support & service no matter how big or small the shop is, plain and simple. I do expect someone waiting to answer calls, answer emails & resolve issues. Any reputable business would agree with me.

Can't argue that. I still would have given them more time before doing what looks like creating an account for the sole purpose of bashing them.
