Intrest in a mixed box of 223 black hills ammo?
I was just thinking about ordering some black hills ammo and was wondering if anyone would be interested in ordering a box of graduated weight bullets. Example a box that contains 40 , 50 , 52 , 60 , 69, grain bullets all in one box. The purpose of this is to find the best load for your gun without having to buy 100 dollars worth of ammo. If five of us got together perhaps a dealer would divide up five boxes and put ten rounds of each weight in each box. If there's enough interest that is to say I can get five people to agree to this I will look for a dealer to offer this idea to. I am flexible on the weights to order and where to buy from but for now I would like to limit it to black hills only and only in 223.
id be in. im getting a varminter so i need some good ammo to find what works good.

That's two we need three more to get her done . Any takers?
I would be in for the 72 grain my varmiter loves it
I'm in if we can get up to 77 grain, need to test my new SPR'sh upper as to what she wants....

Interested in seeing if goes up to 77gr and then seeing a price before I can commit, but very interested in being part of this if it is a reasonable price for Black Hills.
also interested but need to see price
Count me in, I'm sure you'll work us a good deal.
OK so far it looks like we got enough people .Now to agree on the weights and type of bullets before I take this to a dealer. I should mention until I go to the dealer and get us a locked price on a specific selection of weighted bullets no one is obligated I will tell you when we have a locked in price and give you a chance to opt in or out at that time. Here the weights and types of bullets I was thinking about .let me know what you think .Also I was planning on this being the blue box type Reload brass unless everyone wants to spring for the extra cost of the new stuff. If you have any questions please let me know.
each group are in ten round lots
40 gr NBT Nosler Ballstic tip.
50 gr V MAX
60 gr V Max
73 gr BTHP boat tail hollow points.
77 gr MK Match KING
Good IDEAL!!!
In....

Can we put 69 grain and delete the 40Gr, just a suggestion guys...

I'd be interested too... perhaps a double order (i.e. 20 rounds of each) for me for multiple guns. But would like to know where the price will end up.
I am also very interested. Waiting for a price.

Eric

Here's another Idea it would cover all the bullet weights available in the remanafactured Black hilld ammo.
BOX B.
40 gr NBT
50 gr V-max
52 gr MHP
55 gr sp
60 gr V-max
BOX C.
68 gr MHP
69 gr MK
73 gr BTHP
75 gr MHP
77 gr MK
Agian as with box A. there would need to be five buyers per box to make it happen . Let me know what you think .
id be down with box B as i have a 1/9 twist so i dont fire really heavy bullets.

As far as I'm concerned, the more variety the better. I'm game, especially since I'll be playing with barrels from 1:7 to 1:12. Variety is the spice of life!!
I agree better value w/Blue "once shot" brass.
how much for C and b
I don't have the prices yet still wating to here back from the dealers. When I here from all of them i'll post the best prices .
Interested in the heavier weights...
INTERESTED !!!!!!!
Interested as well.
welll what's going on?????
I think the numbers are being crunched and the wheels turned.
Black Hils Ammunition makes 13 different loadings for the .223 and minimum order is a case of 500. That totals 6500 rounds of ammunition or 130 boxes of 50rds.
I am not trying to answer for 2-gun just provide a little information.
The easiest way to sell (in my opinion) would be a 325-rd pack consisting of 25rds of 13 loads. This would be a half box of each load and provide the shooter with 5-5rd groups for testing. Again this seems to be the easiest method but may not be what the shooter would like.
Another way would be designed for the twist of your barrel and be something like this:
1:10 twist :
40gr Nosler Ballistic Tip
50gr Hornady V-Max
52gr Match Hollow Point
55gr Soft Point
55gr Full Metal Jacket
1:9 twist :
40gr Nosler Ballistic Tip
50gr Hornady V-Max
52gr Match Hollow Point
55gr Soft Point
55gr Match hollow Point
60gr Soft Point
60gr Hornady V-Max
60gr Nosler Partition
68gr Heavy Match Hollow Point
69gr Sierra Match King
1:8 twist :
55gr Soft Point
55gr Match hollow Point
60gr Soft Point
60gr Hornady V-Max
60gr Nosler Partition
68gr Heavy Match Hollow Point
69gr Sierra MatchKing
73gr Berger BTHP
75gr Heavy Match Hollow Point
77gr Sierra MatchKing
1:7 twist :
68gr Heavy Match Hollow Point
69gr Sierra MatchKing
73gr Berger BTHP
75gr Heavy Match Hollow Point
77gr Sierra MatchKing
Any other ideas or input is appreciated.

Thanks MT I am finding it harder to get sellers than buyers but as long as you guys keep showing intrest I am sure we will find a dealer to work with us .
Does any one know what dealers charge for shipping single boxes ?Would it be a big cost savings to buy the 325 packs instead?I worry that not many people can afford to buy the 325 packs as oposed to single boxes. We could use any imput you guys have on this isue.
I haven't given up on this idea I think it will work .we just need enough people who express intrest in it as thing look now I would say it's on it's way .
May be interested as a seller?

How about it 2gun, contact Tommy to see what he can do as far as pricing...

OK I contacted Tommy at GP sorry for the lag I had my finger in to many pies this week. I haven't forgot about this. I have been in negotiations with other dealers on this and I am trying to get the best price it takes time but I think you guys will be pleased when I finally get the prices which should be by the weekend at the latest. I contacted Tommy at the start of this and never got a response so I figured he wasn't interested. I am glad to see he is. We are in the final stages of the price negotiations and will post some soon.
interested in box B
-Tyler
Interested in 50 gr v-max. Qty depends on how sweet deal is. I can say I normally pay about 16 bucks/50.

77 gr MK Match KING for me!
What is the dilly on this whole thingy? How much is available? Prices?
I am working up some prices now. It is going to be a little bit of labor.
I will be out of town until Tuesday but will try to see what I can do at that time.

sitting here hoping soon
Are we dead in the water on this one or just in holding pattern?
Update would be nice.

We are in a holding pattern I will not give up on this and am currently waiting on a dealer to submit there prices after that is done I will be able to post prices this was a lot more involved than first thought but it is still doable .My last up udate from the dealer yesterday I was told he would have the prices very soon , like this week soon.
Thanks for update and your hardwork!
Im interested too in B and C.
.
How we doin?

Well not so good I had both dealers back out and I would have to front the cost of 6 cases and I can't do that right now I am still looking for a way to do it .I haven't given up yet .Hunting season is two weeks away and I im gonna have to work overtime before the season so I can take the first week of the season off .I will try to check back in when I hear from the dealers that haven't responded yet .

If it would help I can check with my local dealer (master dealer for BHA) and get his input. I also have no problem putting cash up front once we can narrow a price down.
I'll quit babbling and email instead.
Thanks again!
Interested in Box C or 1:7 barrel pack.... I have one of the group buy mid lenght barrels on the way :)
Price dependant.

BOX C.

2-gun,
e-mails to you are kicked back so IM'd you on prices. LMK-- Thanks
I'm in for "B" if available.
Count me in for one of each group-- UNLESS YOU ARE GOING TO ORDER FROM GEORGIA PRECISION!
I would strongly ADVISE AGAINST IT. Too many people may end up disappointed.
Thanks!!!
