WTS : Mossberg M44US .22lr trainer SOLD

I realized that as much as I love these awesome US trainers, I don't need two of them. For sale is a Mossberg M44US, US property marked .22 bolt action rifle. These were made in the '40s to train our troops on. This rifle is blued, and has the correct S100 peep rear sight. Has a Lyman 17 front sight with changeable inserts. 1 magazine included. USGI sling. Metal is in great shape, has one scratch near front sight. Stock has a gouge on one side and a chip at the butt but is in overall very nice condition. This rifle is a little finicky with some ammo and sometimes it takes 2x to fire a round. Probably needs the bolt detail stripped. Awesome shooter, very accurate.
