This is a late 1980's or early 1990's standard Springfield Armory M1A that looks like all GI parts except the receiver. Serial no. 58XXX. Old style receiver stampings, US RIFLE, 7.62 -mm M1A, SPRINGFIELD ARMORY. Receiver finish is a nice dark olive parked finish much like the WWll Garands. MW and TE are both less than 1. The chrome lined bore has no pits or other flaws I can see. The stock is a GI walnut that has been sanded and an oil finish I believe, no cracks. Stock has 3 small spots that look filled and the Department of Defense Eagle and Circle P are faint. The butt plate flapper has most of its olive color finish but the actual plate with trapdoor is black and appears to be refinished over pits. Has a HR 1961 chrome lined barrel, TRW bolt w/ dimple on top, HRA op rod, HR trigger housing, SA hammer, HRA-W windage knob, WC E elevation knob. The gas piston nut corners are a bit gnarly, the bolt has the usual finish wear from firing and the rest of the action finish is pretty much perfect. I purchased it used, never fired it, don't expect any issues and I'm selling it as I purchased it, "as is no refunds". Includes 4 used GI mags, black soft case and a GI manual if I have a spare. No box sling or other accessories unless noted here. I'm looking to sell face to face in N.W. Ohio. Price
$1400 SOLD for the rifle, soft case and the 4 mags. I can email additional photos, just tell me the views you want.
