I have been looking around and came across this. I am looking into a Pistol Cal. carbine rifle. I was looking into the AR from RRA in 9mm or .40cal.

Has anyone fired one of these? Looking for someones hands on point of view. Can't always rely on web reviews.

The price tag is crazy low and I found pretty good reviews online about it. For the price of the RRA AR, I can buy all three models... lol... But I have always been very iffy about Hi-Point firearms. But by the reviews they look promising and of course the price is also a big plus.

Thanks guys...

I have an old model 995(lightly used with 3 mags ,scope base, sling, box, etc.) that i paid $110 for in Feb. (Cabelas) It shoots 5 shot >1" groups at 25 yards with good ammo and a red dot. Also functions flawlessly with any weight load. 100-145gr.

The carbines get good reviews, always have considered getting one. But the ammo costs as much as 5.56.

If I get one, it will be a. 45 .

And here I was thinking that hi-point PCCs (995) met all the qualifications to be an assault rifle. Are you going to BB it? Do they make such a thing as a BB or similar for a hi point? Now I'm curious.

Yeah, it does. BBs aren't just for AR's, they are for assualt weapons. Check the flowchart. I also double checked with my FFL yesterday. He said there is a company that makes them though, he couldn't remember the name.

MT is one of exactly 3 states I would leave CA for. Family and employment don't allow for it at this juncture.
The weathers way better here though, but you edge us out a bit on Elk. Ok, more than a bit, but I have filled an Elk tag here in CA. Obviously, your laws are way superior to ours. The national parks/forests are a draw. We have the pacific, and citrus, and a 9 month growing season, which in my mind almost washes out the laws, almost. I couldn't support myself and my family in MT at this point though. Shrug, maybe in 20 years, maybe less, maybe more, shrug.

I've raised and supprted my family just fine, our unemployment rate is 2 % points less than Nat. Avg.. Growing season, what's that; hell I have had frost /snow every month of the year (I live at 6000'+), that's what greenhouses are for. Our gun laws make Cali look sick. gottremember to picke up another 30 rd mag for my 10-22 Elk hunting is great and most years I end up with 5-6 deer and an Antelope. At least our legislature isn't bankrupting the state. No Bass or catfish in this part (SW) of the state.
Duck hunting is as good as I remember from my growing up in Modoc Co.
