Where can I get a pork belly in Columbus.
I want to make my own bacon, but obviously I need a pork belly. Any ideas where I might be able to find one. It would be most helpful if it was somewhere between Dublin and Polaris.
Wholefoods? Or start asking a butcher at Giant Eagle? North Market has the Blue something farms meats that's good.
I might check Hills Market too, my local Giant Eagle didn't have any.
call Carfagnas?

I can get you pork belly.
If you don't find it anywhere let me know, I bring it in from Newark. I don't keep it on hand though but can get it for you pretty easily within a week or so, just depends on when the next pig is coming down.
These are usually rough cut and need cleaned, but these pigs are amazing. IF you don't want to clean it up my partner and butcher can do it in a minute or two.
Here in a month or so I'll be able to get you guys anything meat related you could be looking for.
If pork belly turns out to be too difficult to find look up buckboard bacon. It is any cut of pork, tenderloin works well, that is processed the same as bacon.
There's a meat place on the north east corner of Roberts and Hilliard-rome that has all kinds of pork goodness. Can't think of the name tho

Mosley's Meat Market. We get most all of our meat there.

Have you tried
Thurns Meats or maybe the new
Earth Fare Columbus (next to Costco).
I will check out Earth's Fare. I popped in there after they opened for a quick look and was not impressed with what I saw.
I just moved to the Hilliard area, and stopped in there today based on this suggestion. I see a lot of my dollars going there in the near future.

If your in the area now, stop by my BBQ/Swap meet tomorrow. Find some parts and try some of Mosley's brisket!
not sure, have not been there for a year or two, that would be sad, used to get fresh turkeys for thanksgiving almost every year.

Beekist is closed. It is now a pizza joint
Thurns on Greenlawn.
