Just moved here a couple months ago. Time to start collecting stamps. Mostly interested in getting a trust set up for suppressors. Not really looking to write it myself. Anybody know of attorneys in S. Vista / Tucson / etc area that are up to it? Who are the good shops in the area for this stuff?

Some people aren't too fond of Black Weapons Armory in Tucson, but that's where I bought my first can. Tommy (owner I believe) has the stuff to setup a trust on the spot. He set mine up while I waited, and then I took it (the trust) over to the bank to get notarized. I had my paperwork in the mail the following day.

In about five more months I should be able to say whether it (the trust) was good or not...

I wrote my own trust off of a template online, BATFE doesn't really care to much about the trust as long as its "in order" so to speak IE schedule "A", guarantor's, trust name etc. My understanding is people have problems when they die and the trust isn't done properly, their items get collected by the BATFE and destroyed because the courts won't process the transfer as listed in the trust. I've done multiple Form 1's and 4's with my trust without any issues or delays. There is someone in PHX that specializes in NFA trusts but I don't remember his name and believe he's very very pricey, like upwards of a couple grand. Most of the places in Tucson will do a trust for you for next to nothing but all they are using is that program Will Maker which you can do the same thing yourself online for free. There is some real good info on trust here on the forum under Armory- Class 3. good luck.

Good luck finding an attorney who will do it for a fair price locally. I was quoted $2k+ by most places I called for a simple trust, and finally ended up going the NOLO route, doing it myself, and having an attorney friend look it over to double check that it is valid.

Chosin Firearms by RV City just north of Huachuca City are good people. Always a smile, and never had anyone of the employees spout off with bullshit to me. Welcome to the area! I'm in Sierra Vista.

+1 on Chosin...Dean is a great guy. Just stopped by there today to BS a bit and see what he had coming in the shop in the near future. I'm also using him for a few NFA transfers right now.

Thanks for the tips and welcome. I've passed by Chosin a time or two but have not stopped. Will check it out soon. Found C3' s site, they'll do a trust for buyers so I might go that route. Bit of a drive from my current place in Bisbee, but what the hell, most everything is a bit of a drive.
