Cabela's Marysville April 18
I just ran across a post on the firingline forums that stated the new Cabela's was opening April 18th, not sure if this is accurate, just thought I would post for information.
Looking forward to having one up north when I go to see my parents in Bellingham

But that location is so busy to begin with. Probably be impossible to get in there opening day.
Probably accurate. I haven't hear anything though.

Went to the Lacey one on opening day. Parking lot was crowded, but turnover was high so getting a spot was not difficult.
The family loves that place.
The 18th at 11AM according to the north facing billboard at exit 210 on I5.
Edit: 19th at 11am actually
Opening mid day on a Wednesday? Seems odd to me but i assume there is some logic behind it.
When Lacey opened, I stayed away. Went there a few weeks later, weeknight about 7:30pm. Hardly any crowd. I avoid Cabelas during the weekends, unless it is just at openeing, or just before closing. That way you can avoid the crowds.

Whatever the logic, it works out great for those of who don't work banker's hours! I would not bother dealing with the guaranteed zoo of a grand opening on a weekend, but I just might head up there for a mid-week, mid-day event.

Keeps the crowd down so they can sort out any snafu's (eg, water not working in the washrooms, till issues, etc) without too much hassle.
Curious to see if they will have any grand opening specials. Anyone seen anything about it? The only thing I've found on their web site is the initial announcement that they were going to start building one here.
I imagine they will have some really good grand opening buys.
Nobody better buy a safe from there, or ELSE!

I'll take the boys, maybe that Friday, or the weekend after. Never been to the one in Lacey, haven't been to one since the mid '90's back in GA. I remember what fun that place and Bass ProShops was. Hoping my boys will get as much a kick out of all the guns/animals/RV's etc. as I did.
I'm not sure if there's a Cabela's opening in Marysville, or a Mary's opening in Cabelaville.
I'm rooting for the latter.

This. Last weekend I was there at 8 purchased my Kimber, ammo and a holster, and was back out the front door at 8:45. Thank god for CPL.
Thanks for the info.. Been waiting for it to open up here.
Great... I will stay away for atleast a week. the canadians will swarm it.
Just FYI, I was told by a Cebela's employee that the new Cabela's stores that they are opening are supposed to be about half the size of their older "flagship" style stores and may not have all the animals and stuff in them like the Lacy store does. Be interested to see what the Marysville store looks like when it opens.

Tis true I'm afraid. No more big stores will be built. The Tulalip store might be alright. But he future "outpost" stores will be more like sportsmans warehouse, or whatever they are called now.
I wish we could get an Academy sports.
Any truth to the "news" i heard about a bass pro shops in Lynnwood?
