So my buddy is getting ready to buy his first gun. I'm looking for a shop w/ a range and a good rental selection. Preferably somewhere between Seattle and Mt. Vernon and hopefully somewhere that won't break the bank! We're looking to try and do this on Monday 04/08/12. Any suggestions? Thanks!
What are you looking to rent? Hand Gun or Long Gun? I shoot at West Coast and they seem to have a good hand gun selection.

Sams gun shop in Everette is a really good range price wise but call first and ask what they have to rent. The best range with the best selection of handguns to rent I've seen is The Marksman in Puyallup. Others may have better suggestions though.
Two best ranges for rentals in the area are SSNW (good range, bad owners) in bothell and West Coast Armory in Bellevue.
They are also the two modern ranges, with good HVAC systems, and a broad spectrum of rentals.
WCA has the benefit of a high percentage of employees that are active competition shooters/ knowledgeable. Everyone's cool on the range side, on the store side there's three senior guys that are good to go, IM me and I'll shoot you their names if you'd like.
Sams is a joke compared to WCA, not to mention in transition of ownership and at least a month ago, the store was bare and the employee's had already dropped their packs.
