Mr. Quander thinks victimhood is preferable to self-defense. "The problem is, if you are armed, it escalates the situation,” Mr. Quander told residents. "It is much better, in my opinion, to be scared, to be frightened, and even if you have to be, to be injured, but to walk away and survive. You’ll heal, and you can replace whatever was taken away.”

Yeah, that strategy worked great on 9/11

Wow, I can't believe he would say that. Especially with all the armed guards people like him have. Get rid of the guards, and take a walk through DC by yourself then say that.

I guess my response is going to have to be. "NO. I am not a victim. I am not your sheep."

Oh, and with that, the DC police need to surrender their firearms. They don't need them.

That's easy to say for a guy with a protective detail. I'll take this stupidity seriously when he travels around with the cops protecting him.

No surprise. Being the victim is a major tenet of liberalism. This is DC's view on self defense put into plain language.

maybe next time, they will vote for pro-gun, anti-crime politicians.
or they all die off.

No. "They" won't.

The Deputy Mayor's comments only verbalized one aspect of an overarching strategy that encourages total dependency on government not only for safety and security, but all basic needs, sustenance, healthcare, etc. as well.

DC's power clique has succeeded (like most larger US cities) in pushing out most of its self-reliant, independent citizens and businesses, leaving behind a majority voting block of the entitlement class.

"They" will keep on voting for the absolutely corrupt hands that feed them; "they" will keep on clamoring for government to attend to their basic needs; and "they" will keep on insisting that "the rich" (meaning all of us who are productive taxpaying citizens) pay for it.

"They" also won't die off as long as a system exists that rewards uncontrolled reproduction of offspring who grow into feral, predatory bipeds who perpetuate the victimization and fear.

At least your state is considering suppressors for hunting.

Yea I've noticed my electronic hearing protectors just don't seem to need to be adjusted as much anymore.

Oh and as an aside, thank you for teaching my good friend/illegitimate bastard stepson some patience. He's 2 1/2 weeks into his 14-17 week wait.
