just checking
vote early, vote often
No other choice; he's the only conservative on the ballot.

I was thinking I was the only one thinking that way.
Well...that was my plan.
Hell yes, I am.

Yup.
Well I won't vote for anyone who said "They are instruments of destruction with the sole purpose of hunting down and killing people.”
Call me stupid or lazy, but this is my first primary. Are the voting locations the same? I can't find any info online.

Do you have a voters reg card? Your polling location is on there
Copy. Wasn't sure if it was the same as regular polling.
Thanks!
Don't care who you vote for as long as you actually get out there and do it. Remember that the ability of the guy at the top of the ballot to actually win will bring out the votes we need down the ballot (state and local count just as much!).

I do care who my neighbors and friends vote for. That's why I've busted my ass to get them to support Ron Paul tomorrow.
Anybody that believes that Romney in the general would have any coattails in the commonwealth, they're delusional.
Yep looking forward to voting against romney.
Paul doesn't stand a chance of winning the ticket and I wouldn't want him to anyway, so I'm writing myself in. (I know, I know....write-ins aren't allowed in primaries. I'll pull the lever for Paul, but I'm voting against Romney, plain and simple).
You got it, bright and early.
Yep, even you aren't a Paul supporter this is your chance to let the GOP know Romney isn't what we want in a candidate.
For those that don't get the emails Romney didn't return the VCDL survey.
I guess this is the official voting thread?
Originally I didn't know if I'd get to vote as I'm leaving country today, but I just made it out at around 645. No one in line.
PRESIDENT: Ron Paul
Has a ring to it.

Done. No line here either.
Time to act all grown-up instead of playing games.
The way I see it a "protest vote" is no different than a Dem voting for the weaker canadate to influance a open primary.
I don't play games in the voting booth much less cast my lot with Dems.

So you prefer Romney over Paul.
Understood.
Done. At 0815 I was the 9th voter. Sad.
Paul vote cast. Signs up in the yard.

I disagree. There is a fundamental difference in a Republican voting in the Republican primary (even if it is a protest vote) as opposed to a Democrat trying to influence the Republican primary. Let's apply your logic to the general election. Did you vote for McCain because you believed in him or as a "protest" against Obama?
Anyhow I personally don't view voting for Paul as a "protest vote" but as a vote for the best of the given choices. That said I won't try to dissuade anyone from voting for him as a protest to Romney which is why I worded my first post as I did.
Sharps 54, I have just read that from VCDL's e-mail.
You are right, Mittens is not 2nd Amendment friendly, avoids making aclear stand for it., a RINO indeed.

Oh, crap... I was going to write you in, too.
Big turn out here in Courtland
I was voter number 17, Paul got my vote.
Nope
Add +2 for Paul here in my household.
I will go after work. I also will cast my vote for Paul, just to show my dislike for Mittens.
Another +1 for Paul. The polling place workers seemed surprised someone actually showed up to vote.

I see the "odd" comparisons are not confined to GD.
Yes, I voted for Mittins because I honestly think he has a better change against Zero than Paul. Neither would be my first choice the same as McCain was not in the last Primary but IMHO you get more bread with the crap sandwich with a Mittins vote given the two choices we had available.
Hey....The spousal-unit and myself could have stayed home all butt-hurt instead.
Add to that we would like to see this Primary done for all intents and purposes ASAP. Game-playing such as you and others are advocating drags it out.
Conversly if you or anyone else thinks Paul was the better choice for you then that's fine by me but to vote for any candidate as a "protest" with so much on the line is more than a bit "odd" and plays into the hands of the Dems if things are dragged-out as a result.

He said he doesn't cast votes for Dems...so there's no way he would vote Romney.
I am going to try and head that way at some point. Any idea when the polls close? Paul gets my vote as well as the only conservative on the ballot.

Voted this morning. Really low turnout as expected. Hopefully, the RINOs and liberals are sitting this one out.
The only surprise was that the poll workers were dicks this morning. Total dicks.

Everyone already knows that Romney is going to win Virginia and the nomination. Vote for him in the general.
The purpose of voting for Paul in this primary is to put up some points for him to remind the Romneys of the world that there is a large segment of the party and of society that values real freedom and real conservatism.
A grown-up here voting for the candidate whom actually has a chance at beating Present. Obama

Impossible. Neither of the guys on the ballot have a chance.

Now that is a crap statement.
Think about how much the percentages/front runners of this primary have changed month-to-month. Latest polling has Romney down just 6 points to Obama. That is SIX points to make up in 8 months.

I disagree Kelly, but I am glad you pulled the lever for Paul
I voted for Paul as well, not because I don't like Mittens, but because I still believe that Government should be small, and not what we have now.

What happened?
Number 49 at 1pm.

I was #72 at 12:30 - West Potomac HS polling station.
The morning of the '08 election, my voter number was somewhere in the 100s, and it was still dark out. I got to vote after a couple of busloads of people.
Voted. GOP asked me to sign a petition to get a GOP candidate against Jim Moron.
MORE than happy to sign that petition.

GTFO.
Ron Paul @12:30, vote #15
Just got back.
