I need help tracking someone down. Long story short, a man named Sam Ables from aroundCamden/Weston area owes my dad a Bear rug. Sam Ables is a taxidermy guy that has been dicking around with this bear hid my dad shot about 4-5 years ago.

His parents or relatives are Carl and Silvia Ables.

Last known address is Camden area.

I realize Ables is a very popular name for this area.

Im trying to locate it. So if anyone knows this guy, let me know. A phone number would be great.

All the old business cards and phone numbers dont work and none of the other taxidermy folks in the area have talked to this guy in years.

If someone can help me out, that would be great.

4-5 years is a long time to let go before tracking down this rug. Sounds like a lost cause.

My dad was in contact with this guy over that period. They've been dragging their feet. I dont know when last contact was made (I believe it was last fall/winter), we are trying to find more paperwork/phone numbers , but thought someone here might have any current dealings with this guy.

I'm not in that area, but you might try asking on the WVCDL forums as well to see if someone knows of the guy.

In that case if you have the paperwork I would think personal service of a small claims action and sue for the value of the lost hunt and the hide itself. that seems to be extreme but when you go the business and serve them the attitude will change that is if you have all the paperwork form the initial trasaction.

Yea we are looking into the "financial" side of things right now to get our ducks in a row. Seeing if anything is owed or if its paid in full

I had to threaten legal action to get a mount from Doug's Taxidermy in McLean, VA. He'd had the thing for years.

Good luck in getting a resolution. I hope it turns out well for you.
