people asking for money (tulsa)
Is it common to have people ask you for money around here? I've heard some bullshit stories a few times here at my crappy motel... Haven't had to put up with that since I was in New Mexico.
I probably look like I'm not from around here, since I'm not from around here... But I wasn't born yesterday.
Way more common than you would think. Watch your back in the parking lots dude.
OKC is really bad about it.
Copy that. I'll kick my paranoia up a notch.
What part of town are you staying at ?

Know the area , becareful , no car ?
The bus stop area is a hive of panhandlers, pickpockets, scam artists, prostitutes, gun/knife toting thieves and worse.....watch your stuff and believe nothing anyone tells you there.
It happens. Also in QuikTrip and Wal-Mart parking lots.
I actually had a guy ask if he could get some money for gas for his car. I had a full 2.5 gallon gas can in the bed of my truck. I told him I didn't have any cash, but I'd be happy to pour the can of gas into his truck for him. He was all sorts of hesitant but finally accepted, and then went and asked someone else for money while I was pouring the gas into his tank.
I don't give people cash, even if I have it on me. If they're asking for money to buy food in the QT parking lot, I'll offer to buy them a sandwich or something, but cash is out of the question.
I have a car, but my work is right here so its super convenient.

That's the thing. They only need cash for drugs.

Just watch your back , your right at the crossroads. North East and Midtown Tulsa ,
I was in Mc D having breakfast and come up asking for money , I will buy you something to eat
But not paying for your dope , they get pissed , just say No .
It can happen quite often. I work in my car everyday... Sometimes it happens a lot and sometimes I don't see anyone for a long time.
We see Nation of Islam guys working intersections occasionally in OKC. Doing what they do best...looking for a handout.
More fun tonight. Came back to the motel to find everyone watching a domestic unfold in the parking lot. Why am I always the first guy to call the cops?
Anyway, by the time I changed clothes, cleaned up, made a sandwich and went to the office, and took two calls from dispatch one of Tulsa's finest showed up.
I'm starting to think another motel is a good idea.
Your luckey you got thru to the dispatcher , be better calling 911 or was that 911 ?
That was 911, I didn't have non emergency dispatch programmed here.
Now there's a chopper circling just east of here. Does warm weather make the natives restless?
Head southwest to a better neighborhood.
You have a Gun and CCL , what's the problem

police will show up in time to do the paper work .
ETA- maybe go down BA Exp way over by Bass Pro and see if you can get a deal on a room over their, 10 min drive ,just a though.
