MAGPUL or CAR style handguard?
I vote MAGPUL.

I vote for the Magpul and PRS on the tail end

I am a traditional guy , and I kind of think the magpul hand guards look stupid to be honest , but I hear they are pretty rugged and work well. So aside from the fact they look stupid its a toss up.
Id go with the magpul....the CAR handguard looks stupid IMO. I used to have a CAR style on my AR n i quickly found something better.
Personally I would choose one of the new lightweight aluminum forends...can't cut and paste at the moment but I'm sure Google would show them. If it's between the two shown, and it sounds like it is, I'm torn. The magpul makes the rifle look smaller/lighter, however, that may be the result of the pictures being different distances. I guess I'd choose the round traditional stock.

If you carried an M4 and want it to look like what you had, then put what you had on it. If you just want it tacticool, then I suppose that what is most comfortable. I am pretty much a purist and would opt for the most accurate military appearance but that is me. I would only put a Knights rail on it. Steve
Based solely on versatility and the ability to mount lights, grips, etc. without rigging something up, Magpul wins
since the only accesory that will ever touch a firearm of mine is a bipod, and i can't see a bipod on a 6920, i vote CAR / M4 followed by a Knights rail for authenticity.

This is why i took the time to search everything to make my 20" AR look like my 2nd tour M16A4. Except for the the sights (my carry handle is legit .mil. Wont fit in standard AR vise blocks) it matches visually. I even have a VLI slung under my KAC rail with Knights covers and the pressure pad is taped to my KAC foregrip. I personally think the angle fore grips look retarded but some love them. Even my barrel is a 1/7" twist like my old A4. Only thing left for me to get is the buttstock mag pouch, 3 point sling and the Trijicon RCO

I like the plain jane standard handguards on my ar's unless of course I'm fitting a free float tube; then it's a plain jane aluminum float tube.
only accessory that goes on mine is a bipod; I don't have any use for rails etc since I'm plain jane too.
i found a deal where Armalite was selling their Service Rifle full float tubes for about half off, and bought all they had (got in on the last of em)
now my rifles will be free floated under the triangle and A2 handguards.
i get floated w/o the bling
yay!
In my years in the USNR our primary service rifle was the M14 aboard ships. As an MA when we did arm up with M16s they are A2s so I'm not going for a particular "look" from my service days. I'm not going to be "pimping my ride" so the need for rails here and there to attach this and that aren't necessary. I'm happy with the EOtech with BUIS. I did put quite a few rounds through it today and the MAGPUL handguard did get quite warm. I'll put the CAR back on it for the next trip to the range to see which is more comfortable to hold in a long session. Thanks to everyone for their input.
I've got some of each, I like the Magpul stocks better.
I like authentic, Col. Steve can vouch for that. Saying that my dad got a set of MP MOE on his carbine and I really like the feel of them vs the round ones. I must say I prefer the old A1 triangle hgs to round ones too on a KISS.
