I can watch a bit of baseball if I'm at the stadium; basketball holds no interest to me whether in the arena or on tv

Alright headed your way with the real league MVP! Where's the good eats around downtown and are there any fun stores nearby?

There are tons of places to ear downtown along the canal. I'd recommend Mickey Mantle, The Mantle, and several others. The closest nice gunstore is H&H Shooting Sports.

Oh, and the Thunder in 6!!!!!

BBQ mostly, can't go to cowboy country and not eat BBQ.

there's a couple threads about BBQ here in the OKHTF if you search for them.(or someone posts a link, my limited search won't go to the hometown forums)
i can't think of any decent BBQ downtown,.
the Bricktown Brewery used to carry Jake's Ribs, but i don't think they do anymore, i don't know .
haven't been to Bricktown in 10 years.
get it now, cause after the 2 here and the 2 there, it'll probably be over.

If you go to the east side of Bricktown and take Lincoln north there's Bedlam BBQ at 50th. Bubbas on NW 23rd is fairly close as well. Both are good representatives of OK BBQ. My biggest complaint is that here they use their brisket burnt ends in the baked beans instead of saving them as a dish of their own. That and 6.0 Anheuser Busch products do make me miss Missouri.

I won't touch a beer unless it came from the liquor store. The OK beer flavored water is a real pisser

Cattlemens used to be well known for awesome steaks, but they're kind of slacking I think lately. It may be worth a dinner though. Just don't wear that thar HEAT stuff around too proudly

Cattlemens steaks are so over hyped it's amazing people still insist on eating there. Was the worst steak I've ever had in a restaurant but the flies seemed to like it *shrug*. My opinion is skip Cattlemens and try Trappers, I've never had the steak but the prime rib is quite good. Can't comment on BBQ...I make my own.

hadn't been there in several years; hell I think last time was at the deep deuce blues fest.

Good grief your Thunder are killing me! I am a Suns fan through and through but cant stand the Heat! Heat aren't invincible as they believe but OKC isn't playing clutch ball right now. Hope for a miracle.
