 Ct. Range Suggestions

Hi
I am a new member. I also recently acquired an older AR for some wood pulp hunting at the range. I live about 10 min. from Blue Trail so I know it well. I am not thrilled with the 100yd. limitation and only seated shooting (with restricted sighting) setup there. I have done mostly pistol there and it works ok for that (very convenient). I am not hopeful they will ever open the 200yd. there again. I am looking for some other (inexpensive) recommendations for getting some good longer distance range time. Any suggestions are very welcome. The two places I have on the radar so far are:

East Windsor Sportsmens Club (seems inexpensive and casual)
Hartford Gun Club (a little pricey for my infrequent shooting)

Thanks for any feedback on possible other places.

My club, Quaker Hill Rod & Gun, is probably too far for you. We do have a 200 yard range though, as well as skeet, indoor and outdoor pistol, archery and practical pistol ranges.

It's a decent club and not very expensive.

What's the cost associated with the membership?

Blue Trail will never open 200 range again, and the baffles are there for ever. From the mouths of BTR owner to my ears.

Bell City in Southington has 200 yrd range.

I shoot there sometimes. 2 miles from my house. Small parking lot on 10 acres. Indoor 22 only shooting range, a plus.

When I joined some years ago, I'm no longer a member, it was @$150 for the first year individual. $100/yr thereafter.

Different rate for family. Not sure of the exact amount.

It is a nice club; well maintained, a Ladies' Day every year, etc..

It's a private club near mount Southington. They have a pistol and rifle range outside and a 22 indoor range open 24-7.

About 500 to get in and 197 a year for renewels. fees on website.
(not cheap, but close for me)

Thank you for the suggestions so far.
I see that these are all clubs, what are the nicest open ranges (with 100/200yd) in Ct. that offer better shooting alternatives than Blues Trails restricted 100yd only sitting (if driving distance not mattering)?

Blue Trails and High Rock are the only two ranges in CT that I know of that are fully open to the public.

There is a state range in Glastonbury that is also open to the public on weekends, seasonally.

Ah, I forgot about that one, but I don't think it goes out to 100yds.

I thought Rell closed that down a few years ago?

I loved High Rock the one time i went there. Good people there but the second time I went there was nearly 50 cars there and it looked to be an all day wait. I was totally disappointed that I would not be able to shoot that day.
