Need a firearms instructor with Massachusetts State Certification

I'm looking to getting a non-resident Mass LTC (I have a CHL from TX and am a TX resident). If anyone is or knows a good instructor (specifically licensed by Mass) to help me with the required safety course, could you please point me in that direction?

Thanks!

I am unsure of any out of state MA certified instructors.

No rain intended but you do know that you will have to fly up here to have an interview before they will even consider giving you an license. Then you need a really good reason to have it then reinterview every year and pay $100 each time. I live in NH and its a pain to keep one from TX it would get very expensive.

I appreciate the input. The reason and in-person interview is workable for me, I'm trying to avoid the extra trip for a short safety course. Even if it meant traveling somewhere else (hopefully not 2,000 miles from TX!).

I actually did track down 2 Mass certified instructors who used to be in the south, but as luck would have it they moved to other states almost as far as Mass is from TX.

... so I'm still looking.

In NH, I took a class from Mike Briggs of New England Tactical.

Also, check Sig Academy.

I'd put the word out on the HTF for TX and any local forums you might have.

One criteria for any MA SP approved instructor is that they MUST keep their MA LTC current. Since that means they have to fly to MA each year to renew, I don't imagine many do if they live more than a few hundred miles away.

And MA doesn't really publish a list of instructors. One must opt-in and the last I saw the list I don't think there was more than 60 names on it and there are thousands of MA SP approved instructors.
