 Concealed carry in Audubon Zoo?

Any prohibition of carrying at the zoo? Or the aquariam?

It is not prohibited by statute, but I do not recall if there were "no gun" signs at the zoo. I have never been to the aquarium, but note that the insectarium is in the Customs House, so I would imagine that the bar on carrying in a federal building would apply there.

I don't remember any signs at the aquarium nor were the any metal detectors.

The insectarium has it in their advertising flyer as well as posted outside the front door. You have to go through a metal detector and I didn't want to give up my knives so we skipped it and went to Krazy Korner.

That is a definite; been there recently. No weapons allowed there.

As a follow up to this, I visted the zoo and aquarium and could find no signs or rules posted anywhere. The info above about the insectarium is accurate...signs posted and metal detector in place. My titanium knee set it off anyway...LOL! It is interesting that the signs posted even state that state issued CCWs are NOT an exception to this rule.
