True story. Years back some guys I was working with went on an annual "guys weekend", this time to Memphis. Lots of alcohol, lots of lewd behavior, solicitations, the odd hooker story, etc. We found ourselves mucho drunk on Beale Street and then in a tattoo parlor. I said why the hell not! So after finding the perfect picture of a 1911, even resizing it to fit on my upper arm, I jumped up into the chair and he had my arm shaved and ready to ink. Suddenly a sober thought came over me and I asked the price. He thought for a few seconds and said "$200".

WHOA!! I'm not that drunk!

So I didn't get it. Not chickening-out, just not fiscally stupid. When we got back to KC I asked a couple shops and they agreed that it should have been about a $100 tat. So, to this day I am still a blankskin simply because the shop on Beale Street thought they would try to charge a drunk guy more than it should have cost.

i like ink but i dont have any. funny every chick i have ever dated has ink so i am not anti ink. i am just like Eric i think about what its going cost me and i am like man i could spend that money on something else.

I fixed the picture.

I was actually planning on putting an AK on my other arm, but my wife mad fun of the idea and said basically what you said "showing off the guns." I would still like an AK, probably not on my right arm though.
