Sat and Sun at the Metrolina Expo. Thinking of heading up there and seeing what's going on. Heard the last one was crazy crowded. Got a few more things I need to pick up.

I went today around 1:30pm and the place was deserted, compared to the last Dixie Show that is. Pretty spring days trump gun shows I guess.

Good vendor turn out too. I wish I had a zillion bucks!

There's even a circus at Metrolina and still plenty of parking.

I went from 11 til 1 and couldn't find the things I was looking for. Bought a few boxes of primers, some ammo cans and a few other things. The dealers around me can't even get what I'm looking for. Charlotte was the last hope.....guess I'll have to do gunbroker and pay all those fees.
I did bring home a Taurus tracker in stainless 22lr/22wmr but couldn't find 2 other guns I'm looking for.

I went Saturday morning around 10:30. Was not as busy as I had expected it to be. I too could not find what I was looking for.

Found a decent deal on a 442 and some .38 ammo today. Prices were fair all around, and the crowds were relatively mild.

I was there most of the day Saturday and had a new Remington 1911-R1 follow me home. I thought it had a nice trigger until I field stripped it and found out it was a Series 80, which really impressed me with the fit and quality. If I had known it was Series 80 going in, I might have passed on it for a Ruler 1911, but I'm happy with what I got.

Bought an EOTech from Quantico. I had to "visit all three buildings" to find them though

Got there about 1pm Saturday stayed until closing(dealers covering up at 10 minutes cutting themselves off from the sales from people who don't want to walk around carry a bunch of stuff and/or make numerous car trips) . The show wasn't crowded to the point you could barely move. You could walk down the aisles and maneuver around people. Dealer selection was pretty poor for variation and nothing was moving with any speed, so I assume no earlier rush. Some pricing and dealer talk seemed to reflect trying to restart the 'Obama fear" sales greed again but so far people here aren't in the self caused shortage fueling their fear purchases or maybe they're still paying down those credit cards..... I couldn't make it back to see if Sunday prices reflected the reality of Saturday.

Prices were in line with normal to several hundred over everyone else there for the dealers that couln't walk around and figure 20+ of the same item and they had no chance. That of course being over the same few dealers that have had the same guns for as long as I can remember 10+ years. Although certain dealers we normally see were absent with all three buildings almost completely filled.

I basically picked up odds and ends and ammo. Really starting to like dealing with the Quantico Tactical ,straight forward, no b.s. and the ar15.com discount on top is just extra gravy. Not much else than constantly trying to steer a friend away from small/cheap hand guns that fit his hand and strength issues. Told him to try this one handing him and XD and got the "no way possible" response and I pointed out that it is the exact same model I've loaned him and he has been using. That clue by four seemed to help finally.

If they guy who helped the the handicap guy on crutch, get the case of ammo from the front gate to the car is a member here and reading, a thousand thanks again for doing that. The gravel would have done me in for body limits especially with the loose footing to the car.
