Was 138 below past years' numbers or is that about the same?

It appears now that the Nashville chapter is dead & won't rise from the dead.........................

How does that even happen? Nashville?
Y'all keep talking like this and I am going to have to move to Vermont or New Hampshire.

It takes people who volunteer to help out.
It takes people who will donate some of their time.
It takes people who will do what they can to make things happen.
It takes some effort.
Yeah, I went there.

NRA rep Mike Webb asks the same thing. Nashville IS different, we keep telling him. There are a slew of charity events almost every weekend, almost all for heart tugging causes. Throw in the Titan players foundations/charities & country music stars foundations/charities & before long you have every weekend taken with a worthwhile event.
Not to mention when one throws in the virtual lack of HS/youth shooting programs in Nashville coupled with the apathy of their own members towards the NRA, you have apathy. In fact, there are only 2 Nashville schools with shooting teams, both air rifle only. One is MBA (private, rich school) & Hume Fogg (magnet school) is the other.
The biggest complaints I've heard with the banquets in Nashville is A) too much chinese crap for sale, i.e. non-US made; B) too many guns no one wants, i.e. Glock 22, Taurus models, no black rifles, etc.; & C) the escalating costs of the banquet compared to the food quality.
There have been exceptions to these complaints. For example, when our own Jim Garrett (sp?) ran it for a year or two, Jim made damn sure black rifles were prominent.
