I shot this event today. First time I've ever been to anything like this. Very safe. Very easygoing. If you think you might like to try this I highly advise going for it.
.
Thanks a ton guys. Really enjoyed it.

Shot my second event on the 20th. Even better. Great time. Next one is on the 4th of July. I'll be there for sure.
.
I did have a question though. My division and scores on the website from my first event show me in the limited class. At my second they asked and I thought it was production. My scores from the two are vastly different and I just want to be sure its my shooting and not division that's making for improvement.
.
I'm shooting a G19 with a flashlight on it. I'm sure its the light that bumped me up to limited. And in all reality I don't care a whole lot. I just want to be able to keep track of my shooting. So which is it? Production or limited?

Im not sure about the scores, but acording to the USPSA rule book mounted lights are only allowed in the Open division.

Hmm. Open is tough. Them guys are fast. In reality this is just advanced target practice for me. I suppose focusing on shooting 100 percent is what I should be doing.

how many rounds did you load in your magazines? I think there is a limit of ten for production. That may be why they scored you in the limited class.
But he's right, with the light it puts you in open class. Come and talk to Tim at the next match and I'll try and answer whatever questions you have.
I'm the bald guy with the STI 1911 smoking cigarettes and carrying a a scoreboard.

How would you know? Can you see the matches from your living room couch?

OK. I'll get with you on the 4th and we'll figure it out. I'm using 15 and 17 round magazines and have a TLR-1 mounted on a G19. This is my CCW. Like I said, for me this is just trigger time. For others it might be more and I'm screwing with the scores by being in the wrong division. Through ignorance only, but I don't wanna be that guy.

Great shoot. 3 or 4 new guys who seemed to do well and enjoy themselves. This was only my third match, getting a little more comfortable.
.
Shot pretty well. I always think about the shots I missed more than the ones I hit. Learn a lot every time. Perfect way to start the fourth!
