Is the gun show scheduled for this weekend (1/8-1/9) still planned? I can not find anything about it.

Its this Sat and Sun opens at 9 AM. We will be there with our NFA itmes as well as our usual Title 1 stuff.

Thats news to me, I didnt know the civic center shows charged that much for admission. Its been a few years sience I have paid admisson to a show. I do know the Civic Center charges ALOT to the promoters for the civic center room.

Yeah I pretty much quit going because it was a lot of the same stuff over and over and the admission wasn't worth it. When I was looking for a rifle for my GF the $10 or $12 it cost for both of us to get in will buy a movie at the elks and I can count that as a date... I might come to check this one out though.

Son plays high school hockey Friday night in Rapid (Pierre Capitals 5-1 vs. Rushmore Thunder 5-1). Could be a preview of state championship weekend in Feb.
Think we'll stay over night and cruise thru the gun show Saturday morning. I'll try to look over your table/goods MrM4

Didn't make it today as I had hoped. Did get me 3 deer though. Maybe I'll buy myself a birthday present tommorow. Good stuff there? Looking for some 338 lapua and 50bmg supplies, or maybe something like a Mosin for a decent price.

Shoot, you guys missed all the fun this weekend.
There were two NDs within 5 minutes of each other. Same guy, same gun, a .25 auto.
Nobody hurt, nobody injured unless you count pride and feelings.
Oh, and it happened, oh about 10' behind me and about 30 feet from MrM4 while Surly was standing at his tables.
Some non-gunowner nitwit. Claimed someone else loaded it.

One went into one of his totes, and the other seemed to have gone into a wall. He was set up in the corner at the end of the aisle from the door.
I was setup kitty-corner across the aisle on the inside corner of that aisle from him and was standing with my back to him when it happened. MrM4 was set up in the other corner of the room, right down the row across the back wall. The NRA guys were set up between them.
I don't know if he'll be allowed to set up for other shows or not. We'll see come April 8 I guess.

I can't and wont speak for anyone involved but I have been informed that he has been banned from all future shows in Rapid City aswell as some other shooting related events in the area.

Those guns are SOOO TINY.
Actually, I'm kinda glad I worked all weekend and missed everything.
Mostly, though I'm very glad no one was hurt especially considering how packed these shows can get.

Tard: "Yeah, the .25 ACP, the C stands for combat. It's what I carried in Nam on my scout seal recon missions. I liked it because I could shoot someone in the left eye and the bullet would bounce around and scramble their insides like eggs, then exit their right knee."

Tard: "Of course, that's what They will tell you, my missions are still classified."
Tard: "Here, look at this, I made the grips out of the tusks of a walrus that I stabbed with my Ka Bar. I carved a notch in them for every man I've shot."
