Cedar Rapids Gun Show
Hey guys,
I was thinking about heading up to Cedar Rapids for the gun show at Hakweye Downs this weekend.
I was curious about how many dealers will be in attendance? The website says they have space for 400 booths.
Are there any dealers/ sellers I should definitely check out or avoid?
Any tips of tricks for a first time gun show attendee?
Thanks guys!

Bob's shooting supplies is a must stop if you reload, and Gabes Gun Shop carries a wide line, as well as Mike Guns from Iowa Falls.
Depends on what your looking for but Bobs is GTG for reloading supplies. Its a good show Im interested in all things Glock and a couple guys have some pretty good prices but most stuff I can buy online cheaper even with S&H. Its good entertainment
Metro has a great buffet with ribeye cooked to order and the Lumber Yard is close by
ETA Print off the coupon and save a buck

The whole place is usually full. 90% of it is guns and related accessories.

What the guy above said. Good prices from Bob the reloading guy,
across from the IFC table.

Know what a gun you want would cost on the internet (including shipping, transfer, etc) versus what it would cost at a show including taxes, etc. Use that when bargaining, and use cash (that you already have, to avoid ATM fees) as a bargaining chip.
Thanks guys!
Most of the big players will be there. It's a slightly smaller version of the DSM fairgrounds show. I've actually bought more stuff at the CR show recently than Des Moines. I'll be there Saturday. Expect a crowd, but one nice thing about that show is the aisles are wider than Des Moines. It's a little easier to navigate.

Thanks. I'll have to check it out.
I picked up a new beretta 90-two for a heck of a price. I had a great time talking with some fellow gun enthusiasts.
Actually made it to the show Friday evening with wife and youngest son, then went back today with wife, picked up a Jap type 99 last night, then a 45 ACP upper for an AR today, stopped in at the Metro Buffet for lunch, all and all a good weekend. Pretty good prices overall, more buying today than last night.

Got there Saturday. Crowded but it was manageble. Looked at a lot of stuff but all I bought were some M14 parts. Lot of guns getting sold.

I may have to check out this show in the future. Unfortunately, I have to take my wheelchair to the larger shows as I am not able to walk that long.
The Des Moines show was so crowded I was not able to get down half the aisles and I finally left in frustration.

Cedar Rapids has wider isles, think you should be able to get around fine.

Sunday morning is typically the least crowded time.
Surprised nobody took issue with you taking pics.
Sign on door says no cameras or video recording devices.
Not that I care.

I am going to try Sunday next time around.
Saturday was the only day I could get away.
