Range Day: October 22, 2011 500yd Competitive Shoot

We are hosting a 500yd Range Day competition on October 22, 2011 near Garnet, KS. The event will consist of two shooting events, one at 300yd and the other at 500yd. We will be offering a first place prize for both distances (separate winner for each) and door prizes.

This event is held in conjunction with Jerry from G-Trigg Precision. Savage Rifles, Inc will also be hosting a booth to display several of their long range rifles.

Email the following information:

a. Full Name

b. Age.

i. Minors require an adult signature and be present at competition.

c. Email address.

d. Send $20 registration fee to G-Trigg Precision at:

i. 205 North Maple

Garnett, KS 66302

2. You will receive an email confirmation along with the range location.

a. We’re doing this out of benevolence for terrorists, animal rights activists, Wall-Street Protesters, and other nefarious types to prevent them from being volunteer organ donors.

3. We will not be accepting checks or any walk up registrations on the day of the shoot, so pay on time. (NO EXCEPTIONS.)

a. We’re doing this to control the number of people to make it a safe and enjoyable event even for the aforementioned nefarious individuals.

Competition:

1. Sign in starts at 8AM and you will be required to sign a range wavier.

2. Shooting will begin at 9AM.

3. Each shooter will shoot three five shot groups at 300yd with a maximum allowed time of 10 minutes.

4. Each shooter will alternate with a second shooter who will spot and confirm the score.

a. Targets will then be submitted to the judge.

5. Each shooter will shoot three five shot groups at 500yd with a maximum allowed time of 12 minutes.

6. Each shooter will alternate with a second shooter who will spot and confirm the score.

a. Targets will then be submitted to the judge.

7. No 338 or 50BMG allowed.

8. Targets are provided.

1st Place 300yd – Savage Model 64 TB SPR

1st Place 500yd - Savage Model 64 TB SPR

Rules:

1. SAFETY SAFETY SAFETY.

2. All guns shall be unloaded and bolt locked open when not on the firing line.

a. Police anyone and everyone.

b. If we see you, you will forfeit the balance of the competition and entry fee.

3. All equipment that can be used to enhance your shooting is acceptable.

a. You’re here to win.

b. Secondly, you’re here to learn, see, and have a good time with like minded individuals (unless you’re one of the aforementioned nefarious types).

4. Don’t violate the rules, your family loves you, your mother loves you, even your dog loves you. But most importantly Uncle Sam loves you and needs more tax dollars to support welfare recipients.

5. All weapons shall be unloaded and bolt open on a cease fire.
