while i don't have any current pics to show you, there are plenty of options, both straight from the factory and in if you're thinking of putting something together yourself.

i'm personally not into neutered pinned collapsible buttstocks so i've tended towards using the ace entry length, standard A1 or A2, short entry length RRA or similar stuff, etc.

for muzzle brakes, you can't go wrong with something like the PWS FSC556 but, there are plenty of compliant options out there... or just a simple crowned barrel.

do you have anything in mind at this point? or you're completely new and looking for ideas? stripped lowers seem once again to be coming down in price.

PK90's arms n ammo is an excellent source for 15 round mags.

The 6920 is legal with the necessary modifications.
Colt actually makes a factory ban compliant version of the 6920, it's called the MT6400C: http://www.coltsmfg.com/ShopOnline/tabid/62/ProdID/176/Default.aspx

ouch... ramsey isn't exactly the most 'affordable' option. but, might be worth keeping an eye on what they get in used / trade-in.

Here is your NJ compliant Colt MT6400c. Tough to find at any NJ dealer, but if you search hard enough you can find some online.
For some reason the MT6400r is available at a few places, but is $$$ and not as much in demand as the "c".

Here is my upgraded CMMG LE 22lr.

Actually the 6400R is a ban state compliant version of the colt 6940. Fixed stock, no bayonet lug, 10 rnd mag and dopey pinned on muzzle brake. I have this upper on a spikes lower and it is top notch. It's more $$$ because it is a true Monolithic upper with the rail built into the upper. A very clean and strong design. I had my barrel threaded by ADCO and an EGW A2 style brake permanently installed and I am very happy. This is a file pic (not mine) without the silly pinned on brake. Hard to find a decent pic of this model.

Here is a close up of the upper 6940/mt6400r

Took a lot of work to get it NJ compliant. Had to block the magazine to only accept 2 oz of water. Pinned the stock, and had to cut off the bayo lug. Honestly, I'm still a little nervous taking it out to the range though....never know when I'd have to deal with some over zealous cop/shooter causing me problems.

RRA upper / Bushmaster lower

Branson compensator and one of the cut down Magpul mags that PK90 used to sell.

I'm planning on replacing the FSB with a YHM folding sight / gas block some time soon.

Here's my latest build. I tried to make it as light as humanly possible, but due to stock levels, I had to go with a 16" barrel rather than a 14.5 which would have certainly shed it of a few extra ounces. That may be an option in the future if Del-Ton gets some more of the LW 14.5's back in stock.
Its is a carbine length Del-Ton Rife kit with LW 16" barrel, Phantom Aggressive end break, Magpul forend, grip and trigger guard, ACE Ultra Light Entry stock, DPMS lower with Del-Ton fire controls, KNS anti-rotation pin kit, B.A.D. Ambi selector switch from the ARFCOM store, Vortex StrikeFire optics and my brand spankin new ParaSling hand made by ARFCOM member Hk_USP_40 (which I highly recommend by the way, this thing is AWESOME).

Very nice, I have the Magpul angled fore grip on order. Hoping it arrives today. Is that a 14.5 or 16" barrel?

That's a 14.5. Just wish I could put a real stock on it. The AFG is different, but I'm kind of liking it. Let's you pull it in nice and tight to the shoulder. Added the ACOG tody..WOW!! I think I'm in love.

Yeah, I just put the AFG on mine when I got home from work, love it already and didn't even shoot with it yet.
Do you know how much your rifle weighs? I'm wondering if the weight savings would be worth swapping from a 16" to a 14.5" barrel with the same break.
As for the ACOG, you get what you pay for when it comes to optics, in almost every single scenario. Those things are some of the most clear glassed short range scopes I've ever seen. I love the amount of options available for them too. You can pretty much get any magnification level with any reticule and color.

I have two plain barrels and two with the pinned welded EGW Gen 2 brake which looks like an A2 birdcage. Works well. But the crowned muzzle no brake guns aren't as loud.

I just got an LMT Defender 2000 Monolithic two days ago and it has a factory pinned SOPMOD that I already took off. The kind that the tube is part of the stock. Uses carbine spring and barrel.

Lemme know if anyone is looking to make another NJ compliant rifle.
