While I've got a clean record, some of my friends have been nailed for dumb things. Nothing violent, but one has a DUI. Another got a disorderly conduct 11-12 years ago.
Is it true that Canada denies entry for non-violent offenses? Is there a list anywhere that I can review?
Thanks,
Mike

The only advice I can help you with is this...
A DUI in canada is now classified as a criminal offense, and our government doesn't take to kindly to DUI's anymore...
But I will look it up for you, and try to find out.
A DUI will keep your friend out of Canada unless he wants to pay $200 for a pardon in which they still don't have to let him in. They're more strict than the US unless it has to do with a drug charge.
