Nose to charging handle or
Nose to charging handle or further back(middle of butt stock)
Which would technically be more accurate to shoot with iron sights?
I tend to gravitate more towards the rear of the butt stock with cheek weld placement but do better with NTCH.(I think?)
The AMU gets right up on it.

NTCH.
I never shoot N2CH. Not much reason to in 3-gun. High Power/DCM/CMP type stuff, sure.

I don't either and do just fine.
NTCH is mostly beneficial for consistency as it contributes to the same placement of the head and eyes giving the same sight picture in regards to the relationship of the front and rear sights and peep hole. This small inconsistencies can create huge differences when shooting irons for extreme precision especially at longer distances. Having said that I rarely shoot NTCH. It really isn't the type of shooting that I do.

lol.
It works fine for me as a consistent cheek weld and sight picture, so that's what I do

+1. When we teach TCN's we preach this so they will do things consistently, or at least try to
That being said, I have never shot that way myself and I have never had a problem getting a job

I'm curious from those who answered no, what is your technique or how is it different? Further back from the rear sight aperture I am assuming?

Yep, just further back. It's more conducive to shooting fast and it's accurate enough for what I do.
In this pic, I'm just starting to flip the safety on and dismount the gun as I move. You can still kinda get an idea of where my head is when I shoot.

My head position is almost identical to this. Funny thing is I always thought I was further up but after paying a little more attention I realized that I'm resting farther back.
N2CH for me and is the same whether I have an optic mounted or irons. As another said, consistency and repeatability is the key. If you can do it another way, more power to ya.
