I shot in my first Service Rifle match last weekend.

I had a blast and did better at the 300yd prone than I did at the 200yd. sitting position.

The Range Officer told me that there were 4 different legal sitting positions to be used in matches.

I am searching online but not having much luck finding pictures of these different sitting positions.

Any links to detailed descriptions or pics would be great.

Best to start with the rule book.. Basic pictures are at the very end. Not sure why they couldn't put them in line with the text. Typical friggin NRA PITA way of doing something.

USAMTU Service Rifle manual also has pics.

There are several good books too, however they are more expensive than what has already been shown.....

The CMP link above has tons of great info for beginners. The other USAMTU link wont open and keeps poppin up with adware.
