Can anyone recommend a great gunsmith for a M14/ M1A national match build? I've had a Smith Enterprise rear lugged, forged receiver sitting in my safe since 1994, and would like to build it up. Also, any preference to either an Obermeyer or Krieger heavy barrel?
Smith Enterprises does build some and occasionally GAPrecision will build one but it wont be cheap.

Jon Tank put together a super match clone I have several years ago. Shoots better than I every will. Just checked his website, but didn't see anything about working on these rifles.
I don't think you could go wrong with either an Obermeyer or Krieger, but I would probably go with a Krieger (I have a heavy barrel on a super match clone that was built ). I think you'd need to find someone that does a great job finishing out the Obermeyer.
