Please recommend a good book or DVD for a beginning practical pistol shooter.

My local club will be using USPSA rules next year. I've shot a CZ SP-01 9mm and STI Spartan .45 ACP in the matches this year.

I can recommend these books from experience.

"Shooting from Within" by Plaxco
"With Winning in Mind" by Basham
"Refinement and Repetition" (dry fire drills) by Anderson
"Perfect Practice" (live fire drills) by Kirsch

Brian Eno's book is good but it's very advanced, kind of a "how to get from Master to Grandmaster" book.

I recommend Plaxco's book to start with.

I you do not want to spent too much at the beginning and are looking for a good DVD to start I would recommend to get the Matt Burkett Practical Shooting DVD.
