Electronic Ear Protection.
What do you use, like, reccomend?
For training and classes.
Thank you for your time.
I prefer the Impact Sport by Howard Leight - it's what I use most of the time. They are fairly inexpensive, and are very effective. I haven't changed the batteries in about a year, and they are low profile enough that I can still get a good cheek weld on a long gun stock. I like them much more than my Peltors.
The SureFire Ear Pro are also nice, and very cheap, but not quite as effective as full electronics.
I have the Peltors, and they are nicer than the cheapo ones I got from ebay for ~$20. I like the Peltors because they are low profile.

I have both of these. I use one or the other when outdoors and run them both if shooting indoors.
I only have worn/own the cheap $14.99 set from Harbor Freight tool. It works for me, since I just shoot at the range. I dont take any classes ( I want to) nor am in LE or MIL. So for a regular guy, it works fine.
My only dislike is that its HUGE. Hard to get a nice cheekweld on an AR. Although it is fine on shotguns.

I use a set of Peltor Comtacs that I bought from Tactical Command Industries. They've worked well over the last 4 years & my only complaint is that the volume stopped going down from the initial turn-on setting about a year ago. Not that big a deal, since I usually didn't adjust them up or down after turning them on, but sometimes it would be nice to be able to turn the volume down below the middle setting.
I bought a pair of the MSA Sordin ear pro for my dad from TCI again & they work really well. It took some fiddling with them to get the ear muffs to be comfortable for him, but after tweaking the little wire that mounts the muffs to the headband they were good to go.
On anything you'll be amazed at how much more comfortable the gel ear seals are. Those are an absolute must-have upgrade.
Definitely check out TCI. They do some extra water proofing & tweaking of the headsets & you don't pay any more than you would somewhere else for a stock set.
I run a pair of behind the head Peltors. i chose them b/c I am also military and they work well with my helmet.
Just like Yammymonkey, I heartily recommend the Peltor Comtacs and TCI. Don at TCI will take care of you.
