Basic Defensive Carbine will consist of a one day class held Saturday June 11, 2011 and will run from Noon to 10PM. The student will need a reliable carbine for the class, caliber 223/5.56mm, 7.62x39, 5.45x39 or a pistol caliber carbine with an attached light or a hand held light, both lights are better. The AR15 series weapon is probably the best choice but others will work just as well. Class will be held at Faircrest Range which is located about ten minutes south of Canton, Ohio. Class will be held rain or shine. The course will cover many topics that include but not limited to; enhanced trigger control, shooting while moving, shooting around barriers/barricades, reloading drills, low light techniques and transition drills.
