Surgical Speed Shooting:
Missing is the sickness, Surgical Speed Shooting is the Cure! This is the flagship Options for Personal Security (OPS) course & the hands-on component to Andy Stanford’s book by the same title. SSS is, as the title states, all about learning how to shoot faster & more accurately. This is definitely a skills course focused on your ability to get accurate fire on target as fast as appropriate for the situation. A big part of this class is learning how fast you can fire & maintain an acceptable standard of accuracy at different distances.
You’ll be able to practice the vast majority of the drills with minimal, if any, modification on your home range even if you’re not allowed to move, set up cover, draw from the holster, etc.

1 reliable gun*
3 reliable mags minimum*
Good gun belt, holster & mag carriers
300 rounds for 1 day, 600 for both as a MINIMUM. If possible, bring more to be on the safe side & make sure the ammo works in your gun*
Personal items such as sunscreen, hat, boots, water, snacks, meds, chair, baby wipes, etc…
If you want to bring a lunch to the range that’s fine but we usually eat in town
*While there is something to be said for testing new guns, gear, ammo, etc. during a high intensity class you will not get the full benefit of the class if your gun does not run. Trust me, a tap-rack-bang during a six shot one shot per ¼ second drill defeats the purpose of that drill. I may or may not have personal experience with that scenario.
June 20 & 21. Cost is $185 for Sat only & $335 for both days. Location is a private range just outside Elizabeth, CO. We’ll meet at the Safeway Starbucks in Elizabeth & caravan to the range.

We have a little less than a month to go & I have a little update. If you’ve taken any OPS classes before you can get the returning student pricing listed below.
Surgical Speed Shooting- $145-Sat only or $270 for Sat & Sun
Combat Revolver- $140
The new student prices are outstanding for this level of training but the returning student rate is even better. All you have to do is note something to the effect of “returning student” on the application or otherwise let us know that you’ve trained with OPS in the past & you’re in.
