The Yugos tried to improve on the original M43 bullet by making it tumble sooner than the M43. Is the M67 a better bullet than the M43 or is it hype?

Also, if the M67 is better for ending a threat, how much better is it?

IIRC, the Fackler testing showed the M-67 tumbled and did more tissue damage than M-43. You are trading off penetration through cover for some theoretically improved lethality though.

Is the real-world difference really noticeable? Probably not. They guys using it likely don't know or have a say in what they shoot. The people that have been killed by both probably didn't know either.

If you study the 7.62x39mm cartridges in use on the battlefields in Africa and the middle-East, both types are often found together.

My personal choice is M-67 type (flat based, lead core) non-corrosive primed. Were non-corrosive M-43 available,  I'd probably have some of that as well.

Last I checked there is Yugo made M67 ammo out there but it is corrosive.

Get some of the recent Serbian contract overrun ammo or Belom commercial branded ammo.

Same bullet but non-corrosive and the Belom also has Boxer Primers, contract overrun is Berdan primed.

Bosnian Igman also is non corrosive and boxer primed but has small flash holes some find difficult to reload if that is a concern you may have.

Where can Serbian contract ammo be bought?

I noticed Igman myself but it isn't cheap at many places.
