[Last Edit: Dragynn]
So here's my tiny collection, bought all these years ago and they've been in storage as I haven't had a place to display them, working on a small display case now. I'm mainly just into the metal bottles though I do have one of the Hungarian plastic "ketchup/mustard" bottles. Just got another bottle in the mail today, a Russian round two-spout, and have another arriving tomorrow which is a Russian square two spout, don't have pics of those yet, but they will look great next to the round Izzy bottle.

Also have some oil bottles in the cleaning kits pictured but they are plastic, the kits are original EG issued cleaning kits in perfect condition, the one in vinyl with the flap snap is the early version and the other in cloth wrap is the later version, there's also part of an old German G3 cleaning kit in one of the pics with packets of "waffen ol", lol, cool stuff. Wondering if anyone else collects this kind of stuff?

So the chinese one is obvious in these pics as is the Izzy bottle, the B/U S/U and U/S bottles both square and round are Romanian, the square bottle with the Pt and Sm is Polish, The SA marked bottles and the smaller unmarked round 1-spouts are Finnish. The red/white plastics are Hungarian. The older duller round 1-spout is as yet unidentified but may be early Russian, and the shiny newer unmarked round 1-spout I believe is Bulgarian but not for sure about that either. The brass banjo is most likely Yugo but could be German as the Yugo's copied the design from early German machine-gun oilers, they usually have a small pouch it rides in but I wasn't able to get one.

So I got my other Russian bottle today, and seller actually threw in another one of the same bottles I got yesterday (round 2-spout), which was especially cool because it's a slight variant of that type of bottle made later with better stamping and no rounding off of the letters to accommodate the circle edges. Info on all these is hard to come by and there are some conflcts in info, please chime in if you have more data, but basically here's what I have so far:

The square 2-spout is the earliest and was issued with the actual AK-47, the later round 2-spouts were made for the AKM, the single spout Izzy may or may not have been made for the SKS but some say it was definitely for AK's. There is one more variant for the AKM I don't have and it's the last model made with a completely different symbol and I can't find one for sale anywhere and only one pic so far. There are earlier metal bottles made for Mosins and Simonovs and other rifles going back to at least 1900, but these are all the ones for the AK that I currently know about.

The second pic up above has some unmarked bottles that may or may not be some of the early oilers for Mosins and such. ETA: I should have looked at the caps on the two smaller ones, they are Finnish made by GW Sohlberg, the ones with the big SA on the front are also Finnish and also made by GWS, so I think I have all 4 versions of those!
No markings at all on the largest bottle, still thinking that's early Russian.

The square 2-spout seems to have originally had some kind of coating, which has unfortunately been worn badly in places, I could probably scrub the rest off and make it all shiny like the others but really don't want to scrub history so i'm gonna leave it and keep looking for one in better shape.

And here's the pic of the late one that I don't have, and don't understand the significance of the triangle/circle stamp:

I keep some of it as neat bookshelf type pieces; I try not to throw too much of that kind of stuff away knowing that at some point it will be hard to find, and it might just be that last little piece to make your collection "complete".

Case in point - I'm about to spend like $40 on a 91/30 cleaning rod.

No. I have the plastic bottle that came with my Saiga and that's it.

Now make the two part cleaning/lube solution yourself

I do the same, I still have a couple of unopened Vepr cleaning kits still NOS in the packages and a couple extra cleaning rods. I also have a small collection of pouches both regular and RPK and also a drum mag pouch somewhere, and original slings for all our rifles plus some extras in case I buy something and want to "complete" it.

Oil bottle I got today is super nice, NOS and shiny, was coated in cosmo of course so got to enjoy the cleaning experience again, lol. But it's amazing for a piece that's probably at least 70 years old.

I've just got a bunch of the round ones that came with the imported rifles, and that came with the mag pouches. Back in the early 2000s if you bought a 4 mag pouch kit, it came with 4 European ( ribbed ) mags, a butt stock toolkit, and an oil bottle. I bought a bunch so I have / had a bunch. I got a plastic oiler bottle with my Arsenal SLR101S. I don't think my son's PSA GF3 came with one. He's got a leather mag pouch that holds six or seven mags, along with a cleaning kit, oiler, sight tool etc.

Wow, that's cool, i'd like to see that, I have just one leather pouch in the stash and it's a 4-mag pouch, I think it's actually a South American pouch, possibly Argentine?

But i've never seen a 6-7 mag pouch, where does that come from?

I have a bunch scattered throughout parts boxes here and there. Usually find em on the bottom when I'm looking for a small part. Dunno why I've kept them.

I'll get a a few pics sometime today. My old gun dealer gave it to my son for his birthday when I bought him his first AK47 back around 2015.

ETA, could be a 4 or 5 mag pouch. I'll take pics and see. Wouldn't hurt to post pics. I'd like to see the one you have as well.

I find they're handy for storing loaded mags, keep a few in the coat closet in the mudroom hanging on hooks, when I go to the range I just grab some of those instead of an ammo box. Not a bad idea for emergencies either, ya never know when you'll need to fo.

Cool, will post some pics later today, I dug the leather pouch out last night, just got notice my other new oil bottle is at the post office and i'll snap some pics of the new ones and post those as well.

ETA: here's pics of the pouch, looks dated Nov. of 1974, pretty much NOS but has some wear or deteriorization on the back, 4 mag pouch, super stiff leather, no pocket for oil bottle:

That's a cool one. Mine is different. I think it's Hungarian. I apologize for not getting pics. I've been feeling rotten all day and laying on the couch. I just got up and grabbed a bath, starting to feel better now. I'll get the pics of the pouch in a couple of hours. Gotta try and eat supper. I get this way every couple of weeks.

Wow, that's a weird one, can't figure it out myself, even direct links to pics are not formatted as .jpg's or another image format. Could maybe take a screenshot and post that up somewhere, or just upload the photos to an image host, easiest one to use on the internet is probably https://imgdump5.novarata.net/

That's the one I use, drag-n-drop and creates a direct link. Anyhoo, pics are good at your links and that's a cool pouch! 5-mag pouch, I think I have one somewhere but it's not leather.

It matches some IFF markings on current Russian vehicles. My supposition is that it's related to either a military district or large regional depot that has been around for some time (since that marking is still in use).

Makes me wonder if anyone was ever able to confirm what the diagonal/vertical bisected square actually meant on Mosin and AK/AKM stock sets.

This is obviously where my C&R and AK enthusiasm intersects

Sorry man! That sounds like a great collection of Hungarian pouches! The 5-cell canvas I own i'm pretty sure is Hungarian.

I own one blue naval pouch which is kinda cool, I seem to remember it being Romanian.

Yeah the red/white is the only plastic oiler I have, but I have an SA-85 so had to have the oiler set in addition to mags and pouches, and don't know if the Hungy's even made any metal ones.

ETA: Okay had to go dig a bit, that 5-cell I have is actually a gray color, it's got a strap as well as belt loops and those are mustard colored, it has a pocket for the oil bottle, but also has a skinny pocket that looks like it's for a standard cleaning kit, guess they weren't using buttholes in their stocks at the time?
ETA2: Found another one just like it, it had loaded mags in it.

I need to go through all that stuff, found me an easter egg in there, a lone EG mag in pristine condition albeit with an incorrect floorplate, may have been why I segregated it from the others but it's been in that pouch now for like 6-7 years and I had forgotten about it.

Yeah so I was out in the shop yesterday dealing with the cosmo on the oil bottles, wife walks out to see what i'm doing, when she gets close she sniffs the air a couple times and says "That doesn't smell like your usual shop cologne", I was confused, I said "shop cologne?" And she points at a bottle of Hoppe's #9 on my bench.

I said "Baby what you're smelling now is commie cologne, they're like TV chefs are with olive oil, they put that shit on EVERYTHING".

I'm also not sure what I was thinking when I apparently ordered a ten pack of blank firing adapters. Especially since I already had one, and how many blank firing adapters do you really need?

I kept telling myself I'm going to buy a bunch of 7.62x39 blanks for July 4th but I have a feeling that ship has sailed.

I ordered a box of those back in the day I think from Sarco. Some kits were new and some had some extras in them from Soldiers using them. Bits of rags, double tools, oil, scraper tools used hard.
I remember I had a small metal oil can thing different from all the others.

Well I did it, lost my mind, lol. So Centerfire still had some 100 packs of Russian metal oil bottles, so cheap too, with shipping was like 53 bucks to my door, so I FO'ed.

It's cool though, there are a several different variations of that same oil bottle, different size fonts for the lettering, different config for the indentation etc. And i'm pretty sure I have most every one now, just gotta go through and find them and clean the cosmo off.

Wife loves the dang things too, she had an idea about 'em, for years she has made her own perfumes and lotions and colognes for me, using super concentrated oils, and various herbs/flowers I grow that she distills the essence from, mixes with alcohol. Have gotten tons of compliments on 'em, she's been doing it for 30 years and is super good at it. So her idea was clean the bottles up, make a couple different scents one for each side, and call it "Combloc Colognes".

Yikes, I think I have an AK problem.

… if you go on Facebook check out “Milsurp & Comblock Oilers”  then click on the “discussion” area.

It’s a smaller sized group, but if you look at the photo section, you’ll see a lot of bottles and ways of displaying them. I got some of mine on there and right now. Mine is one of the latest videos. My initials are BC.

I can’t figure out how to post pictures on here.

I don't do facebook but i'm pretty sure I know the guy who started that group as it's him that I bought most of mine from back in the day, can't remember his name but he usually goes by some version of "TP" on the various forums, super cool dude.

Posting pics is easy, just make sure you get the true URL of the pic wherever it is by right-clicking on it and selecting "open image in new tab", go to that tab and copy the URL at the top, then when you get back here and start to post a reply or edit one, there's a little symbol at the top row that looks like a couple mountains with sun dot, click on that, paste your URL, and hit enter.

Wow is that some pretty brass! Yeah I never wet tumbled when I reloaded so don't know what guys are using, always did dry tumble with corncob media after depriming, all pistol brass that was going to be shot again pretty quick, only exception was match ammo and I hand scrubbed that with Dawn and hot water before tumbling. Had a Dillon square deal B, was a great little machine, Lyman tumbler, RCBS scales and such.

Then bought every one I found at the funshow that was priced good.

I hated converting from 357, small primer to 45 ACP, large primer.

So I set them up in a caliber and keep them that way.

32 H&R Mag, 380, 9mm, 38 Special, 357, 10mm, 44 Mag, 45 ACP and 45 Colt.

Yes I have a Dillon problem.

That's a cool collection. How do the double spout ones work? Each side holds a different liquid? How is it separate? From the outer welds and the spouts are split?

Yep, two separate cans soldered together in some cases, the round ones with internal separation. One side holds solvent, and the other oil. And fits into a neat little outside pouch on a regular magazine pouch.

I don't know if those links work for you. I can click them and bring up the pics. I cannot figure out how to post photos from my computer.

Any help with posting pics from my computer would be helpful and greatly appreciated.

I was going to buy some tanker pouches and wondered how the little bottles fit in the pockets. Do the bottles separate from their base and then fit in the pocket?

Cool. How is the liquid separated? Down the middle with a round plate width-wise or height-wise?

I'll have to do some checking, but I believe that they fit inside the pocket together and remain in the tray.
I only have one set of those (I have 2 sets)red and white plastic bottles but I do know they are inside of a pocket, just not sure if on a 20rnd mag pouch or 30rnd mag pouch

They will fit in both the canvas and vinyl pouch side pocket

That's not hijacking this thread at all DK, it's great info and absolutely contributes to this thread, in fact I need to do some testing of oil bottle fit with my various pouches and take some pics.

Sweet, that's the one I just got not long ago and have in the pics in the OP, I only opened the can to verify parts were there, now I gotta go check and see if I scored some commie juice too, lol.

ETA: No joy, somebody used up all the lenin lube in mine.

Probably not that interesting to most folks, but going through my box of bottles now, and there's at least 5 different variants in the same basic type of Russian oil bottles, they differ in the size/shape of the font, placement, depth of indentation on the circle, and some very obviously had a coating on originally that has worn off for the most part.

Can't help but wonder about their history, and why the differences, whether they were made in different places, or just changed tooling in the same factory.

My shop cat is helping, lol.

Cool, that worked, have to be a member of that group to view anything, and her membership is pending approval. Pretty sure I know the guy who started that group as I believe he's the one that sold me most of my oil bottles and a bunch of pouches.

Cool pics and info! Thank you! I bought some tanker mags and then noticed AFTER I ordered them that they had the pouches for them. Arms of America.
