I've never seen a bipod in the Colombian Army, and if they have the QD ones, they definitely are not packing and humping an extra pound+ of steel in their rucks.
Also- Colombia has all terrain including glaciers, mountains, and deserts, but in the true "selva"/ jungle (not "bosque tropical"/ tropical rainforest) you could pop down your bipod legs and go prone... and be completely behind huge tree roots, deadfall, thick vegetation, etc...
I would guess that they pulled a Tito when they were setting up Indumil like.... "Why are there so many types of gas blocks? AR with a bayonet lug, SAR without, ARM with bipod mounts with or without a bayonet lug..."
