Here's how the longer rear rivet pressed flush. It had been sticking out about 3/8"ish of an inch.  I used the ak-builder press if it matters. That seemed to work great.

Does anyone know what the correct length is and where to buy the rear rivet?

We don't make the rivets, we have an outside company do this for us.
Just order a set of PSL rivets and at checkout add a note to your
order that these are for a Saiga 12. I can brew up a set that will
more than likely work for you.
