I have two Norincos and looking to do a custom build on one of the them (not the under folder), but I would like some info from those who are more knowledgeable, before I start modifying.
Since I have not found a way to attach the photos I just took of the rifles and markings, I’m stuck just describing them.
The one I’ll probably be modifying (upgrading)
Normal stock
Orange/yellow wood
Serial 132740
Markings. 386 oval ring, Norinco, Hunter IDE McLean Va
Upper rear slanted at 45 degrees
Large front sight
No flash suppressor or brake
The under folder
Orange/yellow wood
Under folding stock
Screw on Flash suppressor with holes on the side
Cleaning rod
386 oval
Serial 50880
Marking on bottom of receiver in front of magazine (Norinco made in china)
Machine work done on lug directly below the very end of the cleaning rod
On the AK listed at top, I’m looking to upgrade the wood with modern aluminum hand guard with rail system and modern stock.
Also, how are the barrels on these AKs ? Should I upgrade or just keep it?
Thanks for any advice
Mike
