Make this a poll, so we can get a semi accurate number of people who want it.

Also, Knightone, remember that the sight parts are not included in the $78 but I can get them for you if you require.

Thanks for the clarification.  I'll probably just take the handle itslef without the parts.  Well, actually, how much for the parts as well?

Make that one more at $78.00.  I'll bite on the extra parts (A2 aperture) as well.

I am interested in getting one. How much would the A1 sight parts add to the $78 cost?

Thanks,
A

The A1 sight parts are roughly $13 to $15.  A2 apertures would alter this pricing as A1 parts are typically sold as a set.

Guys,

Really sorry here.  I've been working WAY too many hours at work and this past weekend an old friend passed into a coma, so I've been somewhat pre-occupied.

I will absolutely, by the end of this weekend, get this going full force!!

Let's give this until July 2nd for anyone else who is interested to jump on board.  I'll then give it another week after that for folks to get their money into me.  At that time I will send the funds to Justin so he can start work on these.

Pricing with shipping (except for the Candians) will be $87.  I will ship via Priority Mail with delivlery confirmation.  If you wish to have it sent another way, let me know and I will quote final pricing.

On the sight pieces, I've discovered that you can actually order directly from Bushmaster for less than I pay "wholesale" through Midway.  As such, I will leave it to you to order these pieces.  I will, however, look into the A2 apertures and Rapidex knobs and get back to folks as to what that would add to the price.

Payment options will be either PayPal or US Postal Money Order.  If you choose paypal, you will need to add 3% to cover the costs as I'm not making anything on these.

MODS, if need be we can move this thread over to Group Buy or offline.  Please let me know via IM or email.

THANKS!!!

GIFFMANN

I'm in for two.

I'm foggy as to what sight parts are included.  I understand no A2 parts, but is the handle coming with A1 sight parts, or no sight parts.  I need to know what else to buy.

No sight parts will be included with the handles.  Best place to pickup the A1 sight parts is through Bushmaster.

I can get A2 apertures through Brownells, but if you're buying the A1 parts from BM it's probably easier just to have them include an A2 aperture.

I'm up for one without the sight parts. Unless you can get the A2 apertures with rapidex knob.

Either way, I'm in for sure. I'll keep checking in on this thread for any updates.

[edit]

For those going Rapidex/A2 here is the breakdown:

Here's the Rapidex Knob from Bushmaster.

Under "Options" you can choose the complete kit w/ rapidex knob for $15.

Also, A2 apertures are $7 from Bushmaster.

That's fine, thanks for letting me know so quickly.

I have the rapidex on my Daewoo K2 (interchangable sight part with AR).  They work fine, but I'm not going with one on these.  There's no index marks like there are on the Daewoo for windage, so if you move it by accident, you'll have to counht clicks to get it back.  I'm sticking with the Murphy proof A1 sights on these.  One for my C7A1 clone, and the other for a lightweight 20" falt top.  If I want to fiddle with clicks, I'll use my A2 upper.

I think I'm going to skip the rapidex knob, too.  There's just something thoroughly gratifying about adjusting my sights with a round of 5.56.

Just a suggestion, fellas, but I'd urge everyone to include a couple of bucks extra for Giffman's benefit.  I know from experience that, "I'm not making any money off of this" almost always ends up becoming, "I'm paying at least a little out of my own pockets for this."  I don't know Giffman personally, but I appreciate what he's done here.

Personally, I sent $92 (including the 3% extra for PayPal).

Like I said, just a suggestion.
