I guess thats one heck of a 10/22.  I would have put the money into something else, or at least a new gun, but hey, if you have the money anyway, why not.

Anyone have a 557 & a Larue po-boy setup?  Mine is on the way & I'm curios to see wht the combo looks like.

From what I gather, I hear the 557/4x combo will compete with the ACOGs.  having the BDC dots and a quick flip to side 4x would be the ideal setup for me.

Too bad the price is a little more than I want to swallow.

My setup...for now...552.  Want to get the 4x after my pistol sells to add onto this.

Make sure you do!  I haven't heard much about that gun at all.  All I know is that it looks awesome and that it has an awesome ejection system.  I've handled one at a gun show too.

The Gun still has about another $500 before I'm finished.

I see you have a Daniel defense rail, Does the tightening ring on the rail interfere with your E0tech when you have it mounted over the gap between the upper and rail?
My Eotech would not sit flat, that ring was in the way?

Recently I double checked to see if mine got in the way.

I stated earlier that It wasn't a problem, however when you asked me I was curious if I missed something. I looked to see if it did get in the way and to my surprise, it did!

When I have done to fix the problem is file it down.  I took some files I had and filed a groove into the tightening ring, making the top rail continues.  Its barley notice able when the EO covering it.  I also plan on painting the filed area black.

Over all it worked out well though.  Ill post some pics here in a bit.

I saw the pics, I hope I did not make you do that!
I was thinking about doing the same thing. But I bought a Larue mount which can move my Eotech out to where I want it. Although I would have prefered to mount it directly on the rail.

I tried a lot of red dots before I came to EOTech.  When I tried one, it was like a special gift from God in exchange for cursing me with severe astigmatism.  I stick them on everything.

Yep!  That is the Cavalry Arms synthetic lower.  That rifle now has a 16" "pencil" barrel, and it just about an even 5 lb with no mag.

Wow those are pricy.  LaRue make a (low) pivot mount for eotechs right?  It's not on the website but I here you can order them. I think they are cheaper.  $150 I think.

No comparison, I would take it over an AR any day of the week. Superior IMHO.

how reliable are they?  How do you like the bull pup design?  I've seen pictures of the bolt on those things and they look like something from a sci-fi movie.  I've also heard they have a 17" barrel.

When I got the chance to hold one I was impressed with how light they are.  I told myself that it would be my next rifle, but I couldn't get passed the reasoning behind it.  I thought they would feel like shooting an AR and basically be the same thing, because of the same round and all.

What do you think?
