Nicely done!!  Too bad you can't just weld 3/8" of unnecessary metal above your receiver and handguards like the real one

The big question everyone wants to know is how much for the sights?

Ditched it for weight reduction, though I may set it back up for the coolness factor if I get another rifle.

Since inquiring minds want to know....

The sights were bought last April from JerryH at HKPro.com.  Surprisingly enough there was so little interest in the front sights that he sent the remaining stock back to HK.  They were slightly over $300 for both front and rear delivered.

Since the rear sight (which I purchased first) would not co-witness with a standard front sight base, I ordered an HK front sight and then had Grant at G&R Tactical build the upper.

A true sign of sickness is buying an upper to go with a set of sights...

Ekie, what's that rubber lens cover on the Aimpoint? Who makes it. Looks pretty cool.

It is USGI, it is what Aimpoint put on their Comp M2's delivered to the Army starting in 2002 or so.

Sorry about the crappy pics.

Anyways, here's the rifle.  Take notice to the red arrow and the little white bottle on the metal pole.

Whoops...  I was about 7-8 inches low with one shot.  At least it was dead center!  lol  The 62gr. FMJ Wolf round proved to be more effective against a metal post than I had ever imagined.  It passed all the way through both sides of the pipe.

And just incase some of you are wondering what it looks like through the sight at that distance.
