Is there a company that sells multiple peoples recievers....Im hoping to order 4 or 5 and hold onto em until this new ban sorts itself out. I figure 4 or 5 from different manufacturers could come in handy compared to just 4 or 5 from one company. Figure if I order them all at once from a dealer...i can pay the back ground once instead of 5 times from each company individually.

Bought an L.A.R. Grizzly stripped lower last nite. I'm sorry if I contributed to the goughing of late by buying at $175 OTD, but when he said he just got some in(18 left) and didn't know when he'd be getting again, I jumped on it.

Is it possible to have a high shelf milled to be a low shelf? I'd love to purchase a RDAIS.

There are machinists drawings available on the net for free and pay. Email me and I'll send you a free set I gleaned from it. HTH Robert |

I found a dealer with a couple of Double Star lowers. I noticed LAR and JVP are milling their lowers. I am sure about the LAR but not so sure about the JVP. Any thoughts about the JVP? Is there any where to identify if they are LAR or JVP?

OTO, forged stuff is generally considered to be somewhat stronger. Therefore, IMHO a billet upper may be desirable if someone is interested in building a high performance / "exceptional precision" rig, but as far as lowers go ... I don't really see the benefit vs. the extra cost that comes with the higher price tag of billet. Ive got 10 Sun Devil Lowers on order direct from Sundevil. They are still at 174.95 each and about 12 weeks out on delivery. Not too bad for high quality stuff. |

Might want to update a few things...
Spikes old ones were LAR not MMS. It's the other way around. MMS are their new ones. Mega never had teflon coating. They use their own special anodizing mix. The mega rep only has 2 posts on here and they were to straighten that out. |

According to Spike's Tactical, their bullet selector lowers are low shelf, not high shelf. Same goes for their safe/fire lowers.

Picked it up for $100 out the door. Thanks for the great thread! We do not release the name of any of the suppliers we get any of our parts from. Not to anybody. Anybody that claims they know is at best guessing. Our position is that we use the very best suppliers we can find and we use the very best specifications available. We always have and we always will. Period. No one at Gunsmoke has anything to do with our company, and they never have had. Any speculation on their part as to who our suppliers are is exactly that, speculation and nothing more. Most customers would be surprised to learn that none of the 4 largest AR manufacturers in the world actually make their own upper or lower receivers, fire control parts or bolt carrier assemblies. Only one of the 4 makes their own barrels. It is all contracted to specialty houses. They do not release the names of their sub-contractors, we are no different. It all comes down to what house you use, what specifications you contract for and how stringent you are that they follow the specifications during your quality control inspection of incoming parts. Our quality speaks for itself. This will be fully evident to anybody that searches this (and many other) Internet boards. Customers really like our stuff and highly recommend it, even after extended hard use. We have LEO's using our full auto and 3 round bust guns on their SWAT team and have requisitioned more. Years ago I learned who made Bushmasters lowers for them. I brought it up with a group of people that did not know. The next day I was contacted by the company that actually makes them and offered a bunch of goodies to STFU. I have kept to my word and never opened my mouth about it again. But the information you have listed for bushmaster is wrong. At least it was 6 years ago.

KICK-EM, and Hi-Ball the switches!!!

Why such mystery?
|
|
|
Every AR "manufacturer" likes it's customers to think they make their products (not many actually do), and the actual suppliers sign non-disclosure agreements. So unless the "manufacturer" admits who makes their parts, the customers are left to guess.
