Just wondering who converted their FM-15 to 7.62x39? I had a general question in regards to the bolt. Did you just do a simple bolt swap without needing to screw around with a firing pin spring/extractor pins?

I was wondering how that was working out. Biggest complaint about that rifle is the extractor pins breaking due to a proprietary design (It uses a firing pin spring similar to an AR10). I heard Foxtrot went that route to avoid slamfires, but I'm not even sure why they would occur unless it's due to the stronger recoil springs on the upper. Just curious. From what I read usually slam fires are caused by a heavier firing pin aka AR10.

As far as I know milspec bolts drop right in.

Just a bump for information:

Foxtrot did state that it could increase odds of a slam fire.

Anyways they were nice enough to upgrade my bolt and bolt carrier to the new generation. It uses a milspec extractor/pin. No more having to swap pins every couple thousand rounds.
