I recently received a BCG that I purchased from RTB. It was advertised as being manufactured by AO Precision. Has anyone ever seen a bolt marked with an asterisk(?) or know why it is so marked? Thanks.

It looks more like a 4 leaf clover to me.

Not page 2 yet, but it might mean it's a blem.   See the crescents next to the lugs to the right of the asterisk?  Somebody goofed their CNC Z offset when making the chamfer on the lugs.

Foxtrot Mike uses a clover logo at times. Not sure if it's connected to this bolt but figured I'd mention it.

I don't think that's a CNC mistake.

This is my FN BCG (2023) and it has the same cuts. I believe AO Precision makes the BCGs for FN.

OP, I think we can confirm it's an AO Precision BCG so I'd maybe reach out to them about the asterisk.

I just received two BCG from Right To Bear that were advertised and packaged with labels indicating they are AO Precision products. They have the asterisk markings as shown in OP's photo.
