Looks good! I like it. I'm in the middle of accumulating the parts to do a 117/GUU-ish carbine on a C7 upper. Mission is a KISS, light and fast piece. They are solid, simple shooters.

Yep, looks good.

It's fun to try and get clone correct,or close, but it's also a pain in the ass. Sometimes getting the general character and flavor is enough, and you nailed that.

I like the feel without the "moderator" on them.  So darn light and fast handling.
Nice build.

Did the FSB come on that $110 barrel or you do that yourself?

It came with the FSB, barrel nut, round end cap, and delta ring.

I tried to put one together as well. I call it my LRRP LARP carbine. Quick and relatively cheap-ish.

The lower is an A2 style lower because that's what I have SBR'd. Made a sling out of an old 2-quart canteen strap, put on an A1 pistol grip and the CAR-15 stock, with an H&R XM-177 upper. SKS bandolier to carry 20 round mags. 100 mph tape and some paracord to bring everything together.

I went the same route during the pandemic. Since I could not find the XM177 barrel in stock, I had to made small changes with parts and substituted a LW barrel for the build. Had JT do his magic the barrel work.
