Hope the QC is decent with these. I'd like to see Bushmaster do well with the A2 series.

I think I still have one of those thats brand new and either not fired by me or only a mag or two.
I might changed the grip or something, but other'nat she OEM.  I bought it as a spare parts rig for my 1st bushy...

They both sit in the back of my gun safe.

Nice.  I hope they sell a lot of them, I'd love to have one at the right price.

IIRC, the "old" Bushmaster's A2 and A4 series were HBAR configuration. Seems like they're gotten away from that (?).

Everyone seems to be jumping on the A2 wagon. I actually just picked up a H&R m16a2. Could not be happier with the quality, especially with the FN CHF barrel.

Has Fultom Armory had issues?  I thought they were pretty much good to go.  I suppose with Bushmaster's history and poor luck when changing owners, I should temper my optimism some

Not sure if you just mistyped but Franklin Armory != Fulton Armory. Franklin makes binary triggers and owns rights to the ACR while Fulton makes stuff like M14s and retro ARs.

I totally missed that.

I was curious where Fulton came into things.

I might see an A2 in my future. I've been putting it off, but I DO want one.

That's my mistake.  I totally associated the idea of A2 Bushmasters with Fulton since they do retro stuff.  I need some sleep ??

Bought my daughter a used XM15A2 around 15 or so years ago for $300. She loved it and still shoots it from time to time (no, won't post pics)

The XM15A2 has been assigned a manufacturer’s suggested retail price (MSRP) of $1,174.

   Barrel Length: 20 inches
   Barrel Twist: 1/7
Barrel Material: 4150 steel, chrome lined
   Thread: 1/2×28

Wonder what street price is gonna be? The Patrolman's carbine didn't have a price listed.

I just had the barrel on my dad's mid-nineties Bushmaster threaded because I've found their barrels from back in the day to be great.  He absolutely loves that sucker, carry handle HBAR carbine, I have a Surefire M500 laying around I'm going to toss on it and complete 1995's state of the art stick!

Before they make it to production, they should consider doing away with the pictogram selector markings (this isn't heckler & koch), and that carbine needs a slim handguard.

This along with dropping the stupid multi caliber stamp.

Looks like Bushmaster's current offerings in the A2 category are their 50th Anniversary editions. The "Silver Edition" is just the rifle itself with the 50th Anniversary logo on the side. The "Gold Edition" is the rifle in a Pelican case with three mags, a coin, and a "certificate of authenticity". Looking at some recent prices online, I've seen the Gold edition at $1360 and the Silver at $973.  Whether those extras are worth another $387 I guess is up to the buyer. Don't know what the Pelican case would cost by itself.

I hope so.
Outside of making a clone, I never understood the practicality of the M4 profile barrel outside it's intended use.
For an A2 carbine, a chrome lined 6520 profile should be standard.

This is great to hear. My first rifle was a A2 bushmaster bought in late 93.

Hopefully Fulton can keep up with the demand. Already a 3-4 week wait on one of their rifles.
